Windiws 7 disks
Just a quickie - I take it is it not possible to use a home premium disk to install professional, even if you have the right key. Am I right?

you are correct you will need the professional disc

You might want to check, but I suspect you can install Home Premium and then do an Anytime Upgrade. I don't think you can upgrade to Pro though, only the Premium.

It is possible however to use an Ultimate disc to install any standard version of 7.

That explains it! I put my Ultimate image on a deployment server, and it offers all versions. I wondered what was going on.
