Deleting music from N95...Please help

Does anyone know how to delete music folders and individual tunes from the N95 8Gb?

Every time i try all i get is the following message:

General: Feature not supported.

Google search shows that this is a common problem and i have seen a potential solution which involves using data transfer and windows explorer to delete files from private folders on the phone but this sounds a bit scary and complicated as i am not particularly tech-savvy and don't want to ruin my phone.

Has anyone found a simpler way around this problem?

Any help would be appreciated.

ok there's a couple of issues.

the music player does not allow you to delete music, all it does is catalogue the music already on your device.

the music itself can be stored on the phone anywhere. most likely on the e:\ drive. i suspect the thing you read about involving the private folders was about deleting the catalogue was it the same as this: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/s...82&postcount=9 ????

probably the reason why you've had no luck googling it is because it's far simpler than you might think. the e:\ drive is just like a big storage folder, you can delete the music simply by connecting it to your computer in mass storage mode in the same way as if it were a usb memory stick, or you can use the file manager on the phone.

Seems to be a Digital Spy thing, it might be me but on other forums people at least acknowledge an answer and might even say thanks or press the Thanks/Kudos button.
