I want to say something positive about Danyl - The X Factor

I think Danyl has a really nice voice quality. I like his tone when he's at his best.

In fact he reminds me of this guy at times, Lynden David Hall.

I'd like to see Danyl sing something like this....would show off light and shade, rather than power throws all the time.

My approach to Danyl is somewhat more sympathetic today.

Rhydian has gone on record this morning as saying he thinks Danyl is the best singer and that Joe is abit stage school.

How many of the other 4 could have pulled off Relight My Fire like he did last night, or start with that opening high note in Your Song?

I actually think Danyl's too good for Xfactor, he's not able to spread his wings fully. The dice are loaded against him by the judges who pick at his songs but then dont state how dreadful Lloyd sounds or how warbly Olly is, or that Stacey is pitchy and flat all over the place. The guy cant win whatever he does.

But that doesnt matter. Either way, he'll be getting a record contract from Cowell at the end of this (Lloyd wont...) as he offers something better and different to all the other contestants, plus the ability to capture share in the US market, so it doesnt really matter what happens tonight IMO.

I'm so glad you are enjoying it... Give Me Your Hand is my fave.

Maybe Danyl's support have been too busy fire-fighting the negative and not having the time/energy to promote the positive.

May well be too late now but I definately think Simon/X Factor machine has done a very great potential talent a disservice.

I haven't heard them all yet (on Light Up the Night) but I'm still in shock! LOL

WTF has happened here? I can now see Simon's point about how Danyl will be a great recording act. Why the **** have they farted around with him so much?

Danyl's range and control on these songs are really good...that's clearly not properly showcased on the XF.

I'd like to say something positive as well and say that there is no way that his singing or his alleged behaviour should ever be used an an argument for the return of Capital punishment.

I think a life sentence covers most of his crimes.

Such a shame XF has sucked him in, chewed him up and spat him out.

I still believe that Simon knows his true worth though....and you can bet he'll have been directed to these recordings also by Danyl and will be in no doubt about his recording potential. Simon knows what this years show has done to him, he's not stupid, and he knows this can easily be overcome with a strong round of PR. Plus he can be huge in the US and all the negativity wont be known over there, Simon will NOT turn down that opportunity.

I truly believe that in the long-term Danyl will be the longest and biggest success out of XF 2009.

Why on earth he has oversung the songs on X Factor when he sounds so good stripped back, I have no idea?

Last night's performances from Danyl were so much better and I enjoyed him on X Factor for the first time. Hope it is not too late.

If Danyl goes, at the very least, he has now been showcased and I hope he gets a recording contract. I am pretty certain he will.

I have a terrible conspiracy theory brewing in my head now....could it be possible that Danyl will rejoin with Nick and that they BOTH will be signed? By Simon? Danyl would need to NOT win though?

I only found out yesterday that Danyl and his band Empty Spaces were on the Ch4 Orange Unsigned this year.

I like the fact that he's been plugging away at music on the writing and performing side for years..this is what marks him out from the rest and i think.
