Although it's not over yet...

...it's become more and more likely that the final two will be Joe vs. Stacey.

Who, honestly and favourites aside, will win?

I'm still undecided. Joe, if he keeps delivering such great vocals could do it. I can't see Joe picking up the votes as much as Stacey could, as I think she has a more broader and wider appeal to the voters. Especially if Olly makes the final, I could see Joe coming third or second, as they'll stand out more in terms of personality etc. I think Stacey may pick up the casual votes/floating votes from those who tune in for the final, so I think she could nick it.

I think it could be the closest result of all the series so far. It'll go right down to the wire though, that much is for sure!

It may be unpopular on here, but I would love:

1. Stacey
2. Olly
3. Joe
4. Danyl
5. Lloyd

At least out of the crap we have left. I really don't want Joe to win - he's so suited to musical theatre and I think releasing albums isn't for him. He's not a popstar in my eyes. Stacey and Olly are far more pop and probably have wider appeal. I would go and see Joe in Joseph or something in the West End in a heartbeat though, he's great.

As much as I think Stacey is mildly amusing and quite sweet , she did herself no favours lying on that piano , she just reminded me of a second rate lounge singer , in fact if she'd been singing like that at my local pub it would have ruined my evening . Of the others Joe is best of a bad bunch .

I can agree with this

Olly is my favourite, but I wouldn't be surprised if he lost out to stacey. I could almost live with that as 2nd placed people can do well out of XF.

Joe is the only one who has upped his game and it's actually quite embarrassing now to see how much better he is than the rest of the contestants.

Last week he single handedly saved the show with the only really good performance on the night and while Stacey is a lovely girl, her personality does start to grate a little after a while and her vocals have not been consistent.

I truly think Joe will win with Stacey being runner up - as for who will be third I'm really not sure - up until last week I was pretty certain it was going to be Olly but his popularity with the studio audience and the judges isn't translating into votes, so it might be Danyl.

I cannot see Danyl winning however - he is too divisive a figure and if he were to go head to head with Joe his failings would become ever more evident, particularly his tuning problems.

Joe i think will win this, hes consistent, not conceited in any way, in tune and vocally head and shoulders above the rest. Which lets be honest were never the best bunch this year.

I think Stacey's nerves will place her at a disadvantage in the final. Her vocals are very shaky at times. Joe seems very comfortable on stage. He makes it look easy.

Stacey's personality could swing things but Joe is the most likely winner as of now.

Once Danyl has gone the spark of the XFactor will be lost,I will probably watch if i am at home but I will not be staying in especially to watch it as i do now,the others are ok,but have no UMPH,Joe and Stacey are nice but boring,Lloyd seems so wooden,Olly is probably the most deserving winner other than Danyl.

Joe is the only one that I would say is totally safe. Stacey is inconsistent and going on vocal alone, she would not be safe. But I understand she has a very loyal fanbase.

I agree that XF will not be so compelling once Danyl has gone, and I think that anti-Danyls will miss him too! But I really don't want him to win - he will do much better if he goes his own route.

A lot of people think Danyl will be given a record deal anyway by Cowell - so might well decide they want to vote for someone that wouldn't unless they won the show e.g. Stacey.

Leon vs Rhydian - all down to likeability in the end.

I preferred Leon's voice too. Rhydian was too strident and OTT for my liking.

Danyl's my favourite. However he might be better off not winning judging by the cr*p that the winners usually get lumbered with. Joe would be the perfect X Factor winner. The looks of a a boyband singer with a big voice and I'm sure he'll sell loads of records. Also think Stacey has good potential as a recording artist.

In all honesty? Joe SHOULD win, but he may not.
Stacey SHOULD be in the final 3 based on overall performances, last night aside.

Does that mean they will be? No. But common sense says it is likely.

If it turns into Stacey v Joe I think Joe will sing her off the stage, BUT that is not to say he will automatically win it. My thinking is, in that scenario, it would be very very close.

Until we have a winner, and the percentages have been released we will have no idea.

Hi RS, nice to know we are on similar territory again. Agree with all you have written.Ideally, I'd like Danyl to make the final but not win, let Joe release that Journey Song.

Joe V Stacey Final 2, well Joe would be triumphant I am sure.

Joe is head and shoulders above the rest IMO so should win.. he has been consistently good all through and upped his game too. He has good pitch & tuning, good voice control, managed to tone down the (IMO) rather excessive warbling he had initially and brought more emotion out into his performances recently.

Stacey is clearly a lovely girl though massively ditzy but as Simon said last night, sadly she's no Leona.. she has tuning issues at times, her voice tremors at times (nerves?) and she isnt consistently good.

So therefore it *should* be Joe. But it might not be

Joe is amazing but could suffer from people thinking he dosen't need to win because he's going to do well anyway

In the final I think there are a lot of people who have never voted before but vote for who sang the best on the night - IMO whoever gives the best performance of the winners song seems to win.
So I think it really does depend on who is best on the night

I'm not sure that he will. Cowell said that the number of acts he signs depends on the release slate for his label which is why he said before the final last year that he could only sign one act (the winner). That could happen again next year.

I think you're right about the voting. The final gets the same amount of votes as the other 9 weeks combined. Which means lots of casual viewers. However, I think many of those casual viewers could be swung by Stacey's ditzy personality even if Joe sings better (and lets face it, he probably will). She would walk Big Brother if she was on it. So I think Joe might need to break out the tears on the finale to compete.

I doubt it will end up being relevant but interesting to note that Stacey's odds for an exit are shortening more than anyone else's.

You're right. Joe needs to bring out a dead relative that he can dedicate his performance to.

I think thats likely down to her having a poor night in comparison to her other shows rather than a lack of people voting.

If they are shortening does that mean she is more likely or less likely to go out?

If it's true that The Climb will be the winner's song I would rather hear Stacey sing that. If it's the Journey one Joes version might prove more popular with people. I don't see anyone else in the top two.

I wish the winner was just decided tonight, is it really worth watching another 2 weeks of the same performances over and over again? Joe singing ANOTHER Elton John song, Stacey getting progressively worse as it goes on, Lloyd remaining at the same level he was at last week, if not worse, Danyl singing the entire song in one breathe with no diction and all as one word and Olly proving week after week that he can't do anything remotely modern.

So tonight I want them all out, with either Stacey or Joe crowned winner.
