Your good and bad points about this year compared to previous years
Good:
Fewer sob stories The new black and white look on the results show Bad: Live audition rounds Results show audience swearing and booing (It's gotten so much worse) Backing of own contestants (Judges have always looked out for their own but I remember a couple of times last year they admitted when they might have done the wrong song choice or it didn't go so well, this year they blindly support their own acts even when they've delivered a crappy performance) X factor in the news (Always part of the show but the whole Danyl v Dannii's comment and the ofcom complaints, then the Jedward thing, it all seems OTT and overhyped for a show that imo has taken a step backwards Splitting up the results show (i can see the reason behind it but much prefer Saturday night results) |

I have really enjoyed the whole of this years, although I seem to be in the minority.
The only think I don't like this year is the judges complete inablity to be actual judges. I know they always support their own acts and rightly so, but the comments to acts out of their category have been way to "nasty" this year overall. And often completely idiotic. The ONLY thing I would change is the mentoring system. I would make it so any judge with an act in the bottom 2 was not allowed to vote. Yes, that might mean more deadlock, but the 2 or 3 judges out of the four who do NOT have an act there should decide. |

The audience this year have been a disgrace - I keep waiting for Dermot to have a "Cat Deeley moment" and tell them all to STFU
![]() I really disliked the auditions this year however - the backing tracks were a mistake in my opinion as were the audience. It has just confirmed my view that the stars of the show are the judges. |

All of the format changes would've been okay had they found enough talent. The amount of out of tune singing at so late a stage is disgraceful. Jedward kept it entertaining, but now they are gone, we just have photogenic but out of tune wannabes. None of them have the X Factor.

1000% more fun, 1000% more must-see television (if that makes sense
) Love the group performances, the new stage is better as well I think.

Good:
Results show - they have done a good job of getting the biggest artists in the world to perform on it. Contestants are from a diverse range of styles New audition format - if you can't perform in front of a crowd, all your singing ability counts for nothing New stage Bad: Deadlock every single week Contestants are weaker than previous years Simon's comments have become as pointless as Louis' The mimed group performances Constant overhyping of performances that clearly aren't very good The audience drowning out the judges' comments The audience chanting Olly's name The audience booing Jedward Reptitive VTs ("I MUST HIT THIS NOTE OR IT WILL BE BAD!!!!") Unoriginal song choices (This year's Take That week had almost exactly the same songs as last year's) "Wham week" |

Good Points
Over 25's this year have been most talented ever. Bad points Cheryl cole thinking it's her show Danni louis Cheryl having a personal vendetta against danyl Its turned into the Judges show rather than a singing competition. Biased judge opinions based on who they want to win. Clear that judges want stacey or Joe to win. |

Good points about this year
- Fewer sob stories, they were just irritating - some of the guest artists theyve got in to pad out the sunday results show Bad points about this year - Cheryl Cole, she has been irritating me beyond belief this year with her comments, outfits, and the fact she still seems to think she has got the public round her finger this year - The studio audience drowning out the judges comments - the contestants in general have been really weak this year imo. i havent really warmed to any of them and dont have any particular favourites, i did like Jedward but it was obvious they were never going to win, and i dont think it was fair of the producers to keep them in for entertainment value - the fact that the results show are on a sunday, it makes me feel like i really cant be bothered watching the saturday night show - the new format for the auditions was also just cringeworthy to watch - The judges are so obviously biased as well thats all i can think of for now, but its just my opinion :P |

Good
:. No bloody sob stories (Dead Wife Man, I'm talking to you .). I like having the results show on Sunday as it's something to look forward to. . We have had some great contestants like Joe, Stacey, Miss Frank and of course Jedward! Bad :. Not hugely keen on the live auditions. . The press stories have been very unkind. . A lot of boring acts put through to the final twelve like Kandy Rain, Rachel and Rikki. |
