When are you putting up your Christmas Decs?

Has anyone else started decorating the house for Christmas?

We have started today (usually wait until December though ) but have seen decorations on on houses for a couple of weeks now. I think I am more excited then the kids!!

I normally wouldn't bother but I'm having the family, including young kids, round for christmas dinner so I'll put some up this year. It won't be until it's actually close to christmas though.

If I was staying in my own house for Christmas, it would be Christmas Eve, but I am going to my parents' on the 23rd, so I'll probably decorate my house on the 19th or 20th, so that I've got a few days of decorations before I go away.

We'll probably put a few up around the 12th.

Some people have had them up for weeks here and its not even December yet, The trouble with that is, by the time christmas actually comes, we've got so used to seeing them around, that it takes all the excitement out

I wasn't going to do it until the week before, but I have had to go into the understairs cupboard to get something, and had to take the tree and decs out to get to it, and seeing as they are now out, we may as well stick them up. Although I would rather leave them in the box for a week at least.

I'll put them up around the 11th when I am on my days off. I only bother with a tree nowadays anyway.

Probably next weekend, although i've bought a few different christmas decorations the past few weeks and put them up instead of putting them away, just to get them out again!

I was going to start and put up the outside lights today, but its too wet and cold so I shall wait for a nicer day the tree wont go up for a couple of weeks, but the window display will probably go up in a week or so.
