Yep, just recieved a e-mail from Sentana:

"Hello,

Thank you for your enquiry, Unfortunately Setanta sport will not be showing
that particular event. Our next Pay-Per-View will be WWE Vengeance which
will be on the 11th July. Please check our website www.setanta.com for
further details nearer the time.

Regards,
Setanta Sport"

Yet more crappy service for UK WWE fans.

Too late for me - I ditched Sky a while back, and their erratic screening of WWE events was a factor. Let's face it, this shouldn't even be PPV, it should be part of the basic package. There's a lot of things I'll pay £15 for - wrestling ain't one of them.

This, coupled with the increasing amount of football on PPV and the complete lack of Scottish football, and the fact that the friendly folks at NTL put our analogue prices up, have led to cutbacks.

If enough people were to do the same, Sky and NTL would realise they're going in the wrong direction.

Maybe minor in content; but its a FULL $35 PPV in North America.

My rant is why it's not avaliable for us to order. It's avaliable in Austrailia's MainEvent PPV service; so it's just not an only North American market thing.

BTW: It is likely that ALL PPVs will go PPV in the UK; by next year. Unless Sky pay more for them as they did in 2000; (the last time the contract was renewed) which is not likely.

I gotta say i dont give a rats ars* if i dont see american bash as smackdown sucks and has sucked for about 6 months, however not showing the raw ppv halloween havoc is very annoying as i love raw

If the wwe decide that all ppv's will cost us £15 next year they can forget it. Ive watched every ppv for about 5 years and would consider myself a true hardcore fan but im not forking out that money every month unless they did a deal like premiership plus say 2 ppv's free if you order all 12 or now 14

We gotta face it it looks like that will happen and there really isnt much we can do

Yet more crappy service for UK WWE fans.
I understand the frustration, but:

I'm sorry, but they really do get a bad rap. Explain how the service is crappy ?? Armageddon was the first PPV that we didn't see live for go knows how many years. Plus, up until 2002, we got every single PPV (Barring the UK ones) for free. And even when we did pay, it was the equivalent of $27.50 as opposed to the $35 the Americans have to pay. So you're compalining about paying $110 a year (£60) whereas an American watching the same thing would have to pay $420 (£230) !!!

Plus add in, on a normal week, 2 Raw showings, Upto 4 Smackdown showings and at least 2 chances to see Heat, Velocity, Afterburn and Bottom line, all shows which again, Americans usually only get one showing of, so if they miss it, they've missed it full stop.

So, we pay 26% of the Americans pay and have countless more showings of PPV's and TV shows, explain to me, how do we have it bad ??

AGREE, The Great American Bash is shaping up to be a real awful show! And just two weeks after Raw's Bad Blood; I know which one I'd pay for if I had the chance. (Bad Blood is on Sky Sports, anyway)

I predict an awful summer for Smackdown; I just don't see anything interesting happening at least until September; and it will probably suck after that peroid too!

But still, I think we UK fans should have the option of ordering it on TV. Rather than relying on WWE.COM and other methods for viewing.

Well, I think Raw and Smackdown and other shows should be available on a basic package, not a premium channel like Sky Sports. And the delay for Raw is a disgrace; if you don't mind me saying. And the censorship/edits (be it all minor)

But that aside, my point is that we should ALWAYS have an opportunity to watch a REAL WWE PPV; in the WWE second biggest market; that's all.

The WWE still makes a lot of money from us; as those house shows that they promoted here last week shows. I think it's within our rights to complain not getting a PPV aired in the UK.

It's not the WWE's fault it's the TV politics that we have to go through to ensure certain programming gets here.

PPV vs FTA: Have we got a good deal?

To be honest, we dont get that bad a deal at the moment, I mean if you look at it we get 4 ppvs a year, compared to the 12 in the US or now 14. The rest including the major ones Wrestlemania and SummerSlam are available on SS so it is not really a bad deal at the moment.

The Bash sounds like it is going to be a waste of time, and judging by the numbers they had for Judgment Day which were the lowest in three years, it is not going to draw much interest from the American fans, let alone the UK. I mean the card is basically a rehash of Judgement Day, with Bradshaw getting another main event shot at Guerrero, and Booker facing the Deadman. Its similar to what they did to us last year, with Insurextion featuring the RAW team, having the same matches, (with different stipulations) to the Bad Blood ppv that occured in the States the week after.

It is a shame that the Halloween Havoc ppv. is not being shown in the UK, at the moment, as it features the greatly superior RAW roster, but to be honest if you have a multi regional dvd player then you can get the dvds pretty quickly now from Amazon.com, so there is nothing really lost.

I can see personally like many others all SKY WWE Events going ppv frm next year, or they will cut down on the amount they air on SS and Setanta will air them instead.

If it happens, then a decision would need to be made on which ones are ordered.

The other thing is the dvds, ok so we pay for a subscription for SS to watch the RAW Late and the Smackdown shows, but when you order the dvds from silvervision, amazon or play you are paying a basic ppv price. Imagine then the US audience, who have to pay for ppv which is I belive around $35 and then shell out on the VHS / DVD copy of the event as well.

Do we have a good deal.. yeah we do

Who'd want to pay to see a SmackDown PPV? The brand is vile right now compared to RAW.

its not a minor event here is the current card:
jbl vs edie gurrero (bull rope match for the wwe title)
undertker vs the dudleys (winner gets paul bearer if taker loses he has to join the dudleys)
United States Championship Match:John Cena vs. Booker T

Flag Match:
Rob Van Dam vs. Rene Dupree

Rey Mysterio vs. Mark Jindrak

WWE Tag Team Championship Match:
Rico and Charlie Haas vs. Guerreros (Chavo and Classic)

The in-ring debut of Kenzo Suzuki

Divas Beach Compeition:
Dawn and Sable vs. Torrie and Miss Jackie (sub for Sable would be Jacqueline)

The Divas would get on top of each other’s shoulders and wrestle each other down into the ocean (a game of “chicken” fighting). The first Diva to fall off of the top of the other’s shoulders loses

Beach Volleyball Match

Of course nothing as of yet has been confirmed, so please don't assume this is the final card the for PPV.

now dont call that minor plus even though its not confirmed the debut of sting

Here's the reply I got from Sky:

Thank you for your e-mail to Sky.

Please note that, the WWE event, 'The Great American Bash' has only recently been announced and unfortunately, Sky has no plans to show this on Sky Sports or as a Sky Box Office feature.

I do hope you will not be too disappointed with this response and I would like to thank you once again for contacting Sky.

Kind regards

Looks like we are out of luck for a live TV broadcast. May have to rely on www.wwe.com/ppv

Im afraid that schedules for Sky are usually planned months beforehand. Setanta were our only realistic chance of watching this PPV live, and if theyre not carrying it, thats that.

Sky - possible, Setanta - most probable. The Wrestling Channel? Youve got more chance of Lord Lucan riding into town on Shergar.

What Sky fail to understand is that what they show us week in week out is the build up to these PPV events. Yet despit the 60 trillion channels of spew they feed us (including sky one) not one will carry the PPV they have building towards on every Smackdown show. WHether you think the card is crap or not is not the point. the option should be there. If the same apples to Halloween Havoc I will be very angry
