Why did Michelle change her mind to want to be bride?

I remember that when the HMs first got clue about the bride/groom task (was that yesterday or this morning?) both her and stu were both adamant they did NOT want to be the couple. But by late this afternoon she is very very keen. What happened to cause her U- turn?

She started winging about the dress - she wanted to wear a pretty dress. She is self-destructing, bigtime.

Of course she was going to try and be the bride. That was the whole purpose of the task.

Endemol, knew they would get a story out of it, which ever way it went.

Victor just directly asked her the same thing on E4 "If you wanted to be the bride then why didn't you say so in the first place?". She didn't give any good answer.

I am wondering if BB said something to her in the DR that she should, or is there a more obvious reason?

She did and Stuart refused

If she wanted to be the bride so badly, and it's only play-acting after all, why couldn't she be bride to Victor? She really is making herself look ridiculous.

i didnt say you dont watch. i said you have come across as anti-endemol in two threads i have seen; both saying that endemol are basically "sucking the viewers". you are right they are. but to take the p*ss out of the viewers saying they have fallen for it and then watching it yourself is a bit of a contradiction.

If you watch endemols work, then basically your happy with their output. Theyve found a product, marketed it and suceeded. I commend them on their work.

FFS why does every thread have to degenerate into an off topic slanging match? This board is worse that the official one this year

Anyway, I had really hoped someone might have had some useful and accurate observations as to what motivated her to completely change her mind and start insisting her and Stu be the bride and groom.

you referring to me and sidewalk?

i didnt consider it has a slanging match - more of a opinion. a slanging match is one which begins with a swear word within the first three words. oh your right, youve just started a slanging match.

incidently, as sidewalk will know, this is a local board for local people.

maybe they were going to let the 'bride and groom' go on a 'honeymoon' to the bedsit. Perhaps they were hoping it would be michelle and stuart

Michelle was winging on to Shell this evening "I wanted to go in the secret room with Stu, but he spoiled it".

Still got her eyes on that 'first-BB-shag' prize, then...?

I don't think they did get wind of the task (pure speculation) and she didn't change her mind. When it was annnounced Stu quickly said his being groom with Michelle would be too weird. Michelle didn't want to be bride with anyone else. Shell then got the job but after a while Michelle tried to change Stu's mind and the others including Shell and Vic went along with it.

After a terse discussion, Michelle finally gave up on Stu (who wouldn't back down) and when asked if she wanted to be bride without Stu, she said no. Her fantasy, of course doesn't relate to the wedding dress but to the magical fairytale she is already in with Stu - and the wedding task was part of that.

She wants to be The Bride and re-enact Uma Thurman's role in Kill Bill.
