Capital Gold Football

Here's a challenge for those of you with vast archives!

I'm looking for the "classic" Capital Gold Football theme tune... the one they had for years...

Anyone have any ideas?

Radio Clyde have used it for "SuperScoreboard" for years, so your best bet is to contact them at www.clyde1.com

Speaking of Capital Gold football, what's happened to football on the radio in london. Were the reports last year saying Talksport and capital were finishing with fooball true, and either way where is the London football on now?

BBC London 94.9 fm have coverage of various London teams including Fulham, Tottenham, Charlton, West Ham, QPR & Millwall.

TalkSport 1053/1089 mw have exclusive London coverage of Arsenal, Chelsea and Crystal Palace games

Other local stations also have exclusive coverage, e.g. BBC Essex 765 MW are broadcasting all West Ham games this season.

Sadly, none of the above are as good as Capital Gold were.

Capital Gold Football - RIP.

With the dark nights now well and truly in, and depending where you live outside London, it is possible to pick up Talksport’s 1089 frequency to listen to the games, last season, I was able to hear several games virtually interference free.

That said, it could be academic if Mr Monti and his cronies in Brussels get their way.
