Most Haunted Live - Major cockup??

I can't believe i'm the only one that spotted this! (no posts about it yet AFAIK)

A couple of minutes after the "light bulb incident" towards the end of tonights programme, did nobody else see a "crew member" that should not have been there, at the end of the tunnel, and one of the others whispered "get out of here"

He was on film for at least 10 seconds before he ran off, and was spotted a minute or so before with a torch!

The phantom light bulb thrower?

I saw this incident too. And I have it recorded on the TiVo so rewound, and it was def not any of the three people "alone" in the tunnel. I can post screenshots later when it's copied over to the pc ...

The camera swung around very quickly to face the person, held on them for a few seconds, he turned, looked at the camera, and ducked off out of view.

Nobody mentioned this, yet it was very visible. ...

I remain open minded as to the subject matter of Most Haunted, but this sort of thing does stretch their credability.

I had the show on, but my interest went and I ended up on the computer instead. I really don't like the live shows very much.

In the old days nothing much would happen on the shows, live or recorded. Now they get whispers, tables moving and possessions on every show. Totally spoiled the family betting we did ("Yvette screaming - how many minutes would it take" was a favourite).

Another cock-up:

Derek got the name William Stocker but the name that is known in that location is William Cocker.

David Bull asked him about that at the end of the show and Derek made some excuse like "sometimes mediums can make slight mistakes in hearing names".

That would have been fine if he'd been given the name by Sam, but he hadn't, he was actually "possessed" by the spirit. Would a spirit mispronounce his own name?

We saw this cock up too, soooo funny. We spent the next ten minutes re inacting (spelling?) that bit, and not forgetting the Yvette and Derek coming out of the lift bit when he was repossed, hilarious!
Still, I can't wait for the next Live show, it's compulsive viewing for laughs. Love it!

Also, another bit I remember. Just before they were entering the tunnel, there was a shot of a crew member legging it up some stairs... was this to make some bangs and footsteps?

Whatever credability it did have before last night is now totally gone in my opinion.

I can't believe they didn't mention or even try to cover up that he had come down for helping them out or something but no, to leave it and not acknowledge him, even as he walked out of the view of the camera is unbelievable.

There's your lightbulb thrower and footsteps man on screen.

Most Haunted. Finished.

Anyone else notice it turn into a bit of a comedy last night with the audiences laughter at Derek Acurea?

I agree! I quite like the old ones even though you were dying for something good to happen. Now that it does happen it just doesn't seem reasonable why more things would occur now when they never did before. I too loved Evette screaming all the time.

I think Derek getting possessed is the funniest thing I've seen all year (apart from Paul Burrell eating bugs in Celebrity). Oh and would a man from the 1800's say piss off?

The other night (Sunday I think) Yvette was in the Ghost Train and it was supposedly just her and the sound man who was stood down the other end of the tunnel to her, but at one point - when Yvette turned her camera round - another person appeared, holding a torch as he stood on the other side of the tunnel to where the sound man was standing and quickly moved out of the way when he realised a camera was pointing his way!

She didn't explain who he was either.

The mysterious bulb thrower is the security guard that goes around with them. I watched the incident of bulb throwing, what a scripted set up! thanks Sky+
If you listen really carefully you can hear the instructions given to Karl through his headphones. It's barely audible but you can clearly hear "couldn't have blown" then karl repeats that.
"act surprised, it's warm"
Karl "Wow, it's warm"

What a set up.
You can also see the security guard briefly switch his torch on whilst walking in front of them.

It's a pity that he told him to move, when the camera was focusing on him I sh*t myself, bloody hell it looks like a figure of a man, oh it is. they should've moved the camera away and then got him to move.

And that Stew says stuff that sounds like really bad acting.
"Oh no you really scared us"

MH has really gone too far, there is far too many stupid possessions. But they wouldn't have a show if nothing happened, So I suppose i'll keep watching for sheer entertainment value.

To "irrelevant", I thought it was Stuart in the tunnel looking around. I've just watched it again courtesy of Sky+ and there's a lot of chatter through on their headphones. I also noticed that it wasn't Stuart in the tunnel, it was someone else. What the hell is going on there? Who is he? If they say "all the crew is gone" then who the hell is it?

Also the spirit misprouncing his name! I think the Live events should stop and they should concentrate on the series, which seems more believable.

That's because they can edit out and redo any bits they mess up

Well the clock tower thing was really interesting yet there was no camera footage below the clock... I'd like to think I've seen enough episodes to know when things are believable and when things aren't, but if they could just have shown simultaneous footage of the clock stopping from above where Karl was and below where Richard Felix and The Other Person were, then I would be convinced.

No, people have only been saying that for about 50 years haven't they? And are we to believe that this ever so angry William Stocker was the same spirit who was being so obedient and writing the first letters of his name in the seance? The whole programme is unbelievable. Everytime they asked the ghost to write his initial he did, which would just not happen. Ghosts only come out when you're not expecting them. And Derek getting possessed the other night was one of his funniest they've ever done.

I saw this episode but failed to spot the phantom lightbulb thrower - I really need to pay more attention! Maybe I did see him but just assumed it was one of the crew?

I could also hear the voices from Karl's headphones/ear piece but couldn't make out what was being said as Karl's talking was too distracting.

Would love to see a clip or screen shots if Irrelevant or anyone else can supply them

Just finished watching this episode, unfortunately I deleted it from my Sky+ before coming onto the forum. I used to be open minded to the show, but now just watch it for the entertainment, it certainly beats 3 hours entertainment from other channels.

The light bulb incident at the end made me watch a bit more closely and started watching more closely when a figure was seen in the distance, but I quickly recognised him as the security guy that goes round with them.

The problem with the live shows is that they always seem to want more activity than on the previous shows. I also watched the Access All Areas show on LivingTV2, it appears the crew that goes around with the 'Investigation Team' is very large, they even take a make-up girl around with them. So any noises they apparently hear could easily be made from anyone on the team (accidental or not). I know that some of these people will be in the background far away from Derek, Yvette and co but they are still there. And with all these people, why is there always only one camera which most of the time is focused on Derek or Yvette, if they want to catch more action on location they need to use more cameras other than the occasional webcam which should be made available via the red button.

I have to agree, when Derek gets possessed it is very amusing.

Well guys ands girls, we have 3 live 'Investigations' to look forward to next year where they have some new ideas and features on the show.

There's been lots of talk on the livingtv forums I notice. Most seem to think it's a security guard. Even if it is, the presenters said they were alone - surely they should be able to come clean about security?

They had a good story for the 'man burning in the fire' event from the previous night plus thinking back, they also raised the spoon incident on the next Most Haunted Live... but they really need to go back to being scientific as per series 2 and 3 and less of the amateur dramatics. Seeing things like this happened does not endear me to believe anything they come up with again.

It was just the security man that goes around with them every location they go to, they didn't mention it because you can quite clearly see it's him, theres no cover up.
