blueyonder email via wap on mobile
hi there
for nearly 12 months i have accessed my byonder email on my sony t610 mobile using the following settings. Protocol : POP3 Incoming server : 195.188.53.61 Incoming port : 110 Outgoing server : 193.113.160.13 Outgoing port : 25 for the past few days i keep getting the "server not found" message so i checked the IP addresses for pop3.blueyonder.co.uk & smtp.blueyonder.co.uk to ensure they hadn't changed. i used the "nslookup" command in a command prompt window and it seems the IP for smtp.blueyonder has changed to 195.188.53.60 but i still get the "server not found" error. anyone else getting probs checking byonder mail on their mobile ? thanks |

The problem started for me about a month ago. Just like that my email client stopped connecting to the pop3 server. I have spent a few frustrated hours speeking to lots of exceptionally untechnical people at o2 but have finally found the solution. A guy at data services solved the problem. To get to data services ask to be transfered to network services first. DONT call the premium rate number, I got round it. Eventually.
For wap GSM browsing the old settings work: Dialup Number: +447712927927 IP Address - 193.113.200.195 For email connection you need different GSM data bearer settings: Dialup Number: +447712932932 IP Address - blank (test this, blank works for me so Im not going to play with it any more) Don't even bother emailing them, they really take the mick with their replys. Hope this helps |

I was accessing my blueyonder account through my SE p910i using the T-Mobile service for the last couple of months. I found out today (or should I say yesterday) that I was unable to download/send messages, got various error messages, but the main one that kept appearing was that the call was not answered.
Checked the BY status page and everything was fine. Does anyone else have the same problem? I can download my emails using GPRS but obviously cannot send emails.By the way, does anyone know what would be the best number to use when abroad, as the local number I use for my area would not connect when I was out of the country, and I couldn't connect to the local rate number. I refuse to call and pay that ridiculous price for help - Blueyonder's help page should contain more information considering more and more people are accessing their mail through their mobiles. Sorry for all the questions!
