Green, green grass

this has probably already been posted a long time ago, but if it hasn't...

Marlene and Boycie will move out of Peckham

Boycie and Marlene, two of the best-loved characters from BBC hit sitcom Only Fools and Horses, are to reunite for the spin-off Green, Green Grass.

The BBC confirmed that a pilot episode about the dodgy car dealer and his long-suffering wife is being filmed.

If the pilot, written by Only Fools and Horses creator John Sullivan, is a success it will become a series.

The actors, John Challis and Sue Holderness, are the only ones from the original series taking part.
The stars of Only Fools and Horses, David Jason and Nicholas Lyndhurst, will not be involved.
Green, Green Grass will see Boycie and Marlene moving out of Peckham for a more refined life in the country, along with their son Tyler.

'Never say never'
The pilot will go into production next year, with a potential series being ready for broadcast in 2005.
Writer Sullivan penned seven series of the hugely successful Only Fools and Horses, beginning in 1981.

There have also been a number of Christmas specials, which continued to attract very large audiences, drawing 15.5 million viewers on Christmas Day 2003.
It recently was chosen as Britain's best sitcom in a best sitcom poll, beating the likes of Blackadder, Porridge and Dad's Army.

A BBC spokesman said there were no plans for any more episodes of Only Fools and Horses, but added "never say never".

Being an Only Fools and Horses fan, I did have my doubts about this spin-off.

However, it was better than what I thought it would be, with some funny moments. And I will be watching again next week.

A wonderful return to form for John Sullivan. The writing is simple and funny. That's what we need..... back to basics style of sitcom. Excellent!

Yep, it was good, might even get better and I agree it was desperately needed on tv. Having said that Grass wasn't bad either.
