Bad Move ITV3

Just as I was getting used to coming home to The Practice on ITV3, they moved the time from 6.00pm to 2.00pm. So annoying half way through a series especially as they do not repeat it so I will never see it again.

For a new station looking for loyal viewers it is a bad move.

I was becomming adicted to this excellent legal drama, hopefully it will be on DVD or something

When they get something this good they really should either have an omnibus or just not mess around with antagonising their veiwers.

So annoyed!!!

Oh the great ITV 3 that has content 24/7 & was plugged
to do re-plays of the weeks The Bill, yet they insist
Screenshop & Tellyshopping is worthwhile content
while The Bill is not been repeated on the channel
like ITV claimed it would.

The Channel stinks of billy bull.

The list of programmes i have watched on ITV 3 since it's launch:

An Audience With Billy Connolley (last night)
[end]

I would love to see the old corrie eps on this channel, like they were on Plus, it was great on a boring sunday afternoon to watch bits of old corrie....

Ohh well.

It's not rubbish, it's just not to your taste. Personally, I watch it more than I do any other digital-only channel.

The way ITV 3 is at the moment it looks like
you have ITV 3 all to yourself.

What are you talking about? The Practice is on weekdays at 6:00pm all next week its just today thats its on at 2pm because of New Year's Eve and Micawber. There are such things as Video Recorders you know.
Jeez, its one bloody day.

I happen to think that ITV3 is one of the best freeview channels around and is improving as they have 'Cracker' (first ever episode) and 'A Bit Of A Do' starting next week.
OK, it isn't as good a plus but the point is, it's free and therefore is IMO, excellent value for money.

ITV3 is aimed at older viewers; most people here (including myself) are not in their target group and we don't watch; however my mum watches quite a bit of it, therefore I believe it is serving a purpose, and from viewing figures it is doing very well. I'd certainly rate it higher the ITV2, or other Freeview channels.

I was watching ITV3 today or last night and they advertised that for the 'first time' the bill was going to be repeated on itv3 after broadcast on itv1 and shown in an omnibus on Saturdays.

Maybe they have sorted out the legal issues on this.

I would have recorded Macawber but missed the first two episode on a repeat showing.

*Cracker is comming excellent i hope they show them all.
*Darling Buds of May
*My Uncle Silas
are more reasons that make ITV3 the most watched channel for me.

ITV3 is the best freeview channel so far for worth while viewing.

Note that i watch it from satellite as the freeview service has to many pops, squeeks and artefacts to be taken seriously for recording or watching. And this is with an excellent reception, just let down by the freeview service. quality overall.

And such diverse opinions are the reason we have multi-channel tv, after all.

robbi if your reception is excellent then you should have no pops or squeeks on ITV3. Either your box is faulty, you have nearby electrical intereference, or your reception is not that excellent after all. It's nothing to do with the quality of service being provided by ITV and D3&4.

As sdc395 said, It's not rubbish, it's just not to your taste. The viewing figures for ITV3 speak for themselves, it's clearly a quality channel. A crap channel would be some of the cheap hanging-on-air-by-a-thread ones in the 200's of the Sky EPG. They are craply made, but that doesn't mean they aren't entertaining or unpopular. Think about it!

All according to taste ..we are delighted by the repeats of Poirot,Midsomer Murders ,Morse and even Taggart.

We watch ITV 3 a great deal and see it as an excellent addition to the Freeview lineup

But then we are over 60 and regard TMF as of no interest to us.Certainly the shopping channels are abysmal and we would be delighted if Freeview could say goodbye to them.

Oh good, something worth watching on ITV3 for once, eventhough I've seen all the Cracker & A Bit Of A Do episodes before.

Isn't anything on the channel, new and having premiere showings?

Bet you can't say 100% you don't get any pops or squeeks on freeview at all. If you do many won't believe you at all including me.

And not only can the occasional pops and squeaks that can happen spoil recordings.

The reason for recording from satellite is that the fast action is better handled with less shimmering or trailing you get on freeview. Although if ITV3 was on analogue i would record from that only.

Which is not a broadcaster problem but OTA freeview problem. Most deffinatley a not problem with my freeview equipment.

Example take a picture or a good freeze frame of a fast moving digital tv scene from freeview and the from satellite. You will see freeview has more blockiness the satellite and analogue has little or none.

I don't have any favourites of digital or satellite and only like nice tv recordings. And as tv's are getting better all the time it shows up many more blockiness scenes on fast moving and slow moving digital tv sources.

But i will say that ITV3 is a great freeview channel that the other channels should keep an eye on. And so should you as it won't be long before it has reruns of you favourites showing also.

I'll say it, I don't get pops or squeeks. I don't care if you believe me, secure in the knowledge that you not believing it isn't going to cause pops and squeeks to suddenly manifest themselves on my tv.

Just as an aside, have you checked if you have a TETRA source close to you. That being the police etc radio communications system. It is known to cause problems with UHF reception.

Got my mum Freeview for Xmas on the strength of ITV3.
It is definitely aimed at older people which is fine by me, i don't think BBC3 has anything she'd want to watch either.
That's what multi-channel TV is all about.
Survival is about the only thing i'd ever watch on ITV3.

Not sure what market FTN is aimed at though, i can only think it must be VERY cheap to run as it must have almost no viewers so ad revenue has to be miniscule.

Perhaps it is about too but it has only been aired
on ITV 3 for one week when Kerrys Story was on,
my point is ITV 3 claimed it was for re-runs of the bill
when it has not been, glad they are going to use
ITV 3 for repeats of the bill.

Happy New Year, yes, I believe it had to be delayed for a last minute re-negotiation of programming rights.

The excellent Blue Dove (just finished) was premiered on ITV3. A really good family business drama.
