Wanna Watch Corrie Live 247?

This post is for any mad corrie fan, who is both rich and not afraid of heights:

Today, I spent the day in Manchester (I live in Scouseland). Anyway, near the end of my trip I took a look at the new Beetham Tower Apartments on Deansgate. At 50 stories high, the tower is going to be almost twice as tall as the one in Liverpool, with construction already underway. The developers claim that when complete, the views will include the Welsh mountains and even Blackpool tower on a good day!

I then noticed how close it is to Manchester's Science & Industry Museum, which of course is behind the set of Britain's most popular street and next to Granada Studios. Now, I may be wrong, but I believe if you were to buy a west-facing apartment on floor number 40+, you should actually be able to see the cobbles, part of the Terrace-Side of Coronation Street and the area were StreetCars and the Cafe is.

Granted, you may need a telescope but how cool would that be to watch filming on the set and then report what you see on this forum? The only downside is the tower is no use to anyone who suffers from vertigo (like me) and apartments on floors 40+ are likely to cost £400k-500k+.

BTW - I also checked and can confirm that Granada have put up a giant poster/picture of the 'fake' street that appears under the viaduct.

No, I mean they have put up a giant poster on the side of a Granada Studio's Warehouse inside the set so when filming, it appears that there is a street under/behind the viaduct.

From the top of the Manchester Beetham Tower, you will be hundreds of feet high, looking down the street as if from a helicopter. The only thing that Granada could do to block the view would be to build a giant 50 story building beside the new apartment block.
