These kids are psycho's! whats that mother doing letting a 7yr old watch violent films. These kids are going to end up in prison or even dead if they dont get sorted now.

What about the boy who hit/punched/slapped his mother? What was wrong with him? You'd normally say that that is learned behaviour but she didn't strike me as having previously beaten him.
He went soooo far. He must have done that a lot of times, each time going further and further and each time mum let him get away with it ... creating the problem.
And even though I know it is wrong I kept thinking that HE actually needs a good slap. I know, I know; don't bite my head off: that's completely wrong. But there still seems to be no consequence for him. When he whacked her and, really, seemed quite concerned she should not have accepted his apology and his tryring to make it better.
Also didn't like the two blonde mums (similar haircut); one house was the pits and I can't believe she was berating her sons for not tidying up their room. Urgh!

Does anyone else besides me feel that these are just typical examples of the results of following the wishy-washy liberal attitudes of so-called 'experts' telling us that it's wrong to smack our kids when they behave badly?

When I was a kid, if I misbehaved I was shouted at and if I continued I got a smack on the legs. I soon learnt that if I didn't want a smack I behaved myself. I was never beaten or mistreated - only chastized.

I did exactly the same with my own son, though very rarely because on the whole he was very well behaved - compared to me as a kid. Neither he or I have been mentally scarred by the odd smack.

How can it be good for kids to grow up thinking that they can do what they want, to who they want, when they want with impunity?

Some will say that a 'smack' leads to abuse, but I don't buy it. Anything more than that definitely should be a police matter, but surely that's already covered by existing abuse laws and parents who do such abhorrent things don't deserve to have kids in the first place.

And the parents featured in this programme are no better - they are just at the other end of the scale...
