Big Brother One

Hey guys i have recently watched my big brother one video and it seemed a totally differnent show. It was new, fresh idea then. Because the house had the silver soil look, it looked futuristic as it was a new idea and 2000 (millenium look) BB2 and BB5 were both great but in totarly differnent ways. BB1 theme tune was the best out of them all, liked the girls voices on it. Liked the way they played the music wen housemate left house, like the bridge, the eyes on top of the house, the shape of the house and its layout. Every year BB producers try to make the show fresh, but they need to change the shape of the house as they hav had this shape house for too long. I understand that BB7 will have a new location or new house but for BB6 they can still change shape.

Elstree has been a wicked location for big brother and i loved the new house in 2002, but now its just old and boring. Also to add would like to see the words BIG BROTHER on the house like bb1. I dont know anything about elstree but has anybody here drove past, if theres a road passing big brother house, so you can actually see wots goin on. The building work, if the outside of the house has changed from last series. If anyone has, please let me know.

THE ADS
Wen do u fink the flashes of the BB eye logo will appear on ad breaks? i remember they started near beginnin of may last year.

cheers guys, bb6 roll on, only 2 months, but one month till the real hype, cant wait.

I agree with you totally. BB1, BB2 and even BB3 were 'original'. now the show has turned a bit crazy, its still very very good but all these twists and surprises are a bit too much.

The flashes appear about 2/3 weeks before the Launch, I love the flashes! It's such a unique way of indicating that the show is about to begin!

BB is unique! I have just been looking back at BB3 and 4 and how the outside of Elstree was formatted, and if you can remember they went up the stairs to the door, the door was also inwards to the walls like the walls went like this:

___/ \___

That was cool! I loved the eye on the top of the house, although the BB1 logo was pretty crap, lol! I want the BB music to pump out when they are evicted, I love the BB music and it adds to the crowd atmosphere, I felt that the crowds in BB5 were pretty quiet...

I hope they put 'Big Brother' on the side of the wall where they had the massive TV at on CBB3. Also, the BB eye on the roof would add to the look.

I hope they surprise us with the house. I agree, this location is getting slightly boring so I really hope the house feels fresh and new for BB6 along with the BBLB studio.

I honestly can't wait for BB6 lol, all this talk of it makes you so excited.

Roll on BB6!

Yep, Elmstree is getting boring, but we just have to see what theyve come up with for BB6, then we can look forward to the new location!

I must say the more I look at the BB3 house, the worse it looks... The more I look at the BB2 house, the better it looks!

BB5 will always be the best house for me, I loved it! I have only just realised too, how much they ruined the original BB3 house for CBB2, they wrecked it! It was a decent design for BB3 but they practically changed the layout totally for CBB2!

The house is a BIG factor for me. If I hate it, it may turn me away from watching the whole show...

I can remember I missed for first 4 days of BB5 as I was on a holiday with school, I came back (From Spain ) Luckily Mum had taped it for me and the first thing I did when I got back was watch the BB episodes...I hated the BB5 house design! I was fuming! lol and now I love it!

I can actually remember saying to mum "This year is gonna be rubbish! It's a crap house with 12 freaks!!" lol Now its my fave series and I cant imagine another series beating it!

After watching all the BB5 clips available my mind has changed, BB5 is now my fave closely followed by BB3.

Hopefully, as I said, BB6 will be fresh, new, modern and a good surprise with lots of twist like in CBB3 with the lift and hidden door.

Lancey 999, i do the same every year. The launch nite of every series i say to my mum i don't know if i like it, and she'd say ' u will once u get to know the housemates'. Last year, day after the launch of bb5, i sed to her i'm not sure about this one and loved it within a few days. It's just gettin to know the housemates and gettin used to the new house. the house is also an important factor for me too. All the house have been great except for bb4 but that was the housemates chosen not the house design. This summer i will b doin my GCSE's so from May 20th my leavin ceremony, i am off all summer. Yes i have a few exams that are quite important but wot the hell big brother all the way. lol.

I'm the same, with every series, I never like the house or HM's at the start...I just need time to adapt, lol!

But, having enjoyed BB5 so much, I dont think anything will beat it (for me)

I know BB5 was great, i have loads of videos of BB5 so i can keep watching all the memories. I have decided this year that i will tape nearly every bb6 episode for bb6. I properly wont get every one as i will be out socialising sum times. Soon i am guna get all the vids and put BB6 labels on them.
Big Brother 6 Tape 1
Big Brother 6 Tape 2
Big Brother 6 Tape 3 etc. Oh how great is my life. Although sumtimes i fink i'm a bit too obssessed, i dont care cos it makes me happy.lol. how cheesy.
I remember the first time i saw big brother. I had just come in in the summer holidays of 2000 and my mum was watching Andy's eviction and i saw it as Davina announced he was leaving and i was hooked. Hey Lancey to you tape BB wen its on? i need to know i'm not the only one lol

Nope I never tape, but I can get the Episodes through mIRC, which is what I do...

I'm going to tape this year however. I have taped some things, e.g. Fight Night Live and other special moments BB1, bb2...and so on finals..

BB5 was great, but nowhere near as good or classic as the first three. I'd rank it 4th actually, or joint 3rd with BB1 at best.

BB2 will forever remain my favourite. Everything about it was perfect. BB3 is a close second. And BB4...? Let's not go there.

I actually prefered the old photo of the eyes to the new (BB2 onwards) logo.. It fitted in a lot more with the original Orwellian vision for the show, and the eyes on top of the house gave a really dramatic feeling of importance - as if saying it was a house important enough to be photographed from a plane.. I wish they'd bring back the eyes on the roof.

I loved the other things as well - the silver pipes outside, the bridge.. The surrealism of them *really* not knowing how they were being perceived, or even if they were being watched outside.. Not knowing the theme tune when it was played into the house..

I think you can guess what my favourite series was!
