Big Corrie news

I was just browsing on imdb.com through the past cast to see what some of my old favourites have been up to recently and found this:

Sasha Behar .... Maya Sharma (2003-2004, 2005)
Stephen Beckett .... Dr. Matt Ramsden (2000-2002, 2005)
Charles Lawson .... Jim McDonald (1989-2000, 2003, 2004, 2005)
Susie Blake .... Bev Unwin (2003-2004, 2005)

All are listed as being in it in 2005, which suggests that they are coming back!
Maya - probably for her trial
Matt - probably to get Joshua back as he is the real dad.
Jim - probably prison visit form Liz (apparently they have a life changing decision to make (giving him the elbow maybe?!)
Bev - to knock some sense into Shelley.

It also mentions a new character. I don't know if she is going to be a main character or just a minor part.

Andrea McEwan .... Lisa Ditchfield (2005-)

Admittedly this could be a mistake but I can't see any other errors on there and it seems to be well updated so we could easily see them back on our screens within the next 8 months.

The thing is IMDB is not that reliable because you or I could make changes to the details using relevant forms! I once saw someone claiming to have played a Watts in EastEnders but this certainly wasn't true.

Some times people just use IMDB to create a rumour, or if they have heard a rumour then they update it.

However Bev & Jim have been confirmed to be making apperances this year. It wouldn't suprise me if Maya was returning but I certainly hope not.

I'm glad theres a good chance we will see Bev again.

The only one I don't really want to see is Dr Matt. I find Ashley incredibly boring nowadays.

Yes IMDB is not always so reliable but I wouldn't mind seeing them all back actually. As Huch said, Bev and Jim will be back but I would like to see Matt come back and maybe put the spanner in the works for Claire and Ashley (although when I said that before not many people agreed that was a good thing!). I would like to see Maya back personally and give that storyline some closure. If Jimmi Harkishin is leaving the show maybe it won't be a trial but something more dramatic.

If Sasha Behar wins Best Villain and a good chance of Best Single Episode at the British Soap Awards, I wouldn't be surprised if the producers consider a return.

There have been rumours about those 4 coming back, so its possible IMDB have updated their Corrie info based on those rumours.

Id wait until it was confirmed by the press office.

corrie comebacks.

i read somewhere some months back that Maya was coming back to corrie to finish off the storyline, which will be set in court.
Jim coming back aswell to spend time with Liz, he may even try and escape!
and Shelleys mum is coming back later in the year to comfort shelley after Charlie is showed the door, hopefully a prison door.

There are all solid reasons why the returning characters could be back, although I would live a long and happy life never seeing Dr Ramsden on my screen again. I'm pretty sure the Jim McDonald one is going to happen, and I think Maya has to return to finish off that storyline properly.

Corrie bosses said around the time of Jimmi's [Dev] off screen antics that it would look a little strange at Mayas trial with no Dev - so she is coming back
