Does anyone have a sun visor for the car that you put on windscreen?

Hi Everyone

I just wanted to know if these are any good and does your car feel a lot cooler compared to not having one and the sun shining right through as you leave it in the car park etc.

Does it just feel like your car has been in the shade?

I dont even know the correct name for them, how thick

Kind Regards

I used those when I lived in New York and the temps in the summer are at roasting level. I had one on both the front and back windows. It kept the wheel and the seats (non cloth at the time) cool. Besides it kept the theives from being able to see clearly what was in there.

They are reasonably effective and well worth using on sunny days. They make little difference to the air temperature in the car but they do stop the dash and seats overheating and burning your legs if you wear shorts.

My car has a built in screen on the rear window, and I carry a collapsible screen for the front in summer.

I often spend a minute or two extra trying to park in the shade. If I am going to be parked for hours, I even try and work out how far the sun will have moved and try and ensure the car is parked where it will be shady when I return.

I need a compass, a sextant and a calculator to park on a sunny day.
