I have that problem on 705 ( I only got freeview for upstairs on Sunday..normally watch it on sky downstairs.)
I can't access the interactive, (and read through all previous threads about it on this board to find a solution but none worked)so put it on 705 and get the white screen, but the subtitle thing doesn't stay for me and just goes back to the white screen. So I worked out, if I press the status button, the menu comes up and stays on the screen, as does the picture. You have a big blue menu cutting out a third of the screen, but it is kind of see through and does as a temporary thing until C4/freeview sort this all out. You don't notice it after a while, and it's only while it is not live on E4. My freeview make is Bush, and I don't know about other makes, but if you can get a menu that stays on screen on any model it may work? I am a huge technophobe so I don't know..I found this all out by trial and error anyway! Hope that helps.

I’ve had to do the same, using the "info" button to keep the picture up otherwise it flips back to the eye.

Subtitles go off after a few seconds and the picture reverts to the eye.

I press subtitles but it doesn't work on mine..it just comes up and then goes back to the white screen. I guess different things work on different models...Doh Boho! ![]() If anyone can suggest a way I don't have to see a menu I'd be grateful but I have searched the DS forums and done all the tips. But like I said, it doesn't bother me that much, you can still see what is going on. |

The subtitles thing doesn't work on my matsui dtr2, after a few seconds the white screen reappears.
I have found that if you press menu and then select language, it then displays just Language/English on the screen, so even though you still have part of the menu on screen, its quite small so most of the picture is clear. |
