Maxwell - the evil lurking beneath the cheeky-chap persona

Maxwell scares me. I can't help but get the sense that there is something very sinister & evil lurking beneath the persona, & I pray that one day the mask will slip & the nation sees him for what he truly is.

He continually insults & ridicules people, but does it so often & with a twinkle in his eye that they all just accept it as normality. We have already seen a few examples of his bigoted mentality slip through, constant digs about Craig & Kemal being gay, telling Makosi to go back to her country, being xenophobic & mocking to Roberto.

How long before he can no longer hide the jumped-up beer-belly sexist pig he is, making a faux-pas by saying something that is truly racist or homophobic, thus ensuring his downfall. Or maybe BB won't show it just to annoy me.

And as much as I try to like Saskia, I can't forget her dire launch night video tirade, "I'm not rascist BUT ..... they all wanna come over 'ere & bomb us" or something to that effect. And she keeps spouting that she can't be rascist because she's one 1/4 Sri Lankan or something. Well I'm sorry, that doesn't mean that she's not a bigot, & she can't keep playing that grandparent card just so she can say ignorant things like that.

Anyway, I just want Max to go, I don't trust him, and his pre-rehearsed, loveable rogue lines in the diary room are starting to really grate on me. It's as though the whole time when he's saying something he's thinking of things that will make the audience laugh, or what can be used in his 'best bits'. He's a complete phoney.

Everyone went on about Leslah being a bully and a bitch, but Maxwell's kind-of-bully is worse, because he's more sly & some people are actually being taken in by his act.

Let's get rid of him & Saskia so they can go back to their Daily Mail reading & perhaps he can take her to a Bernard Manning gig for their first date & they can all worry about those awful immigrants coming over here to bomb us together.

Awful, just vile.

That is actually my main dislike of both Maxwell and Saskia, the obvious racial undertones, more so Maxwell though, and for that reason I don't think I will ever like the pair now. I can't believe I dissed mary's summing up of Saskia out of hand, still it was early in the BB game, and it is so easy to be taken in at such an early stage. Although I am still glad Mary went.

I have pretty much made my mind up now as to who I like and who I dislike in the BB house and who I am neutral on. Maxwell and Saskia though really are an awful pair.

I think the Daily Mail might be a bit 'grown-up' for them.
I believe The Sun is their paper of choice.

I have to say, that was a very well thought out and worded post Miss Glitter.

I agree with it really..he doesn't scare me though. Just makes me annoyed.

I was watching him this afternoon when they guys were sunbathing, he threw water over Anthony when he was sunbathing and it was just a joke, ha ha hee hee..but if someone else had done it to him, he would have taken it badly I assume.

I liked him so much at first, he was like loads of guys I know..my other half is a cheeky chappy and likes a joke. but I have never heard him make comments like Max does, or get aggressive like that (maybe after alot of drink..but not when sober ) and he also can take critiscism and accept when he is wrong, unlike Maxwell who thinks everyone should dance to his tune.

I think it is called maturity..something that is sadly lacking in Maxwell.

Oh for gawds sake, yes Maxwell is proving to be not a particularly nice person, and yes his stunt with alcohol and the food budget is very selfish and could I repeat COULD show an underlying problem. I myself wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him (and I am a seven stone weakling). I dislike him intensely.

BUT the OP was just a bit OTT there, there is character assasination and there is scaremongering. FFS someone will be saying none of the HMs are safe in their beds next, cos Maxwell's eyes 'don't look right'

I can't forget him singing in the first few days 'get your tits out for the lads'. He is everything you would not want in a fella, he is vile and at the first opportunity should GO

Actually, a bit off topic, but Kemal kept telling the other HM's the other night that Roberto and Derek were not safe in their beds after the nomination thing which I found a bit OTT and worrying.

Yes he strikes me as the type who needs an army behind him.

I'm not sure I would feel safe in my bed when Kemal was around either if I was sharing a room with this freak

Totally agree missglitter. The last time I felt this way about a HM was when Jonny Regan was in the house.

The producers are turning!

Trouble is, there are so many who do not see how offensive his attitude and behaviour are, that is why he is such an arrogant... I'll stop, you said it in the opening post.

I'm not sure I'd go as far as calling Maxwell "evil", but he is certainly turning out to be a very unlikable character.

I gave him the benefit of the doubt up until the cheers he got last eviction night. Since then he has become unbearable (along with neck-wiggling 'bad sista' Saskia).

I don't have access to the live feed, but can anyone tell me, is it really true that Maxwell reckoned a cameraman would be following them around to see how the whole "Max-Saskia" thing is going on?

If this is true, just how conceited are they?

They must think the whole nation is enthralled by their on-screen "celebrity" romance.

I keep picturing him as one of the zombies in Jackson's Thriller video. I think it's those snarling lips and undertaker's shadowy eyes that do it, not to mention the hacked hairdo.

Completely agree missglitter, but he doesn't scare me.

The real worry is the fact that some people cannot see through the 'cheeky chap' routine. I have known Maxwell-types as I'm sure we all have and eventually they get what's comin....

Kemal said it about Roberto on a seperate day, just after Roberto tried to sort out his fight with Kemal in the loft. Maxwell said it about Makosi in the first week or so.
