Falling on Deaf ears - Corrie
As per the ITV website
Later this year Corrie will introduce its first deaf chracter to the show. Freda, who is Emily Bishop's niece, will arrive in Weatherfield to nurse her aunty after she suffers an injury. Deaf comedienne Ali Briggs will take up the role of Freda, whom Norris Cole believes is a con artist. Shame he didn't have such insight when bogus auther Mel Hutchwright turned up on the Street! |

I read this in Inside Soap. Is she supposed to be Spiders sister? I dont even know how hes related to her. Emily has been there for over 40 years, who is this family supposed to be?

A neice of Emily's doesn;t have to have been on her side of the family. It could be someone from one her husband's familys, like Ernie's. Ernie's sisters' daughter would be Emily's neice. Nothing wrong with that is there, don;t know much about Ernie's family... anyone know about that?
