24. I'd take a bit of care here. Benzol is an old name for benzene and benzene is a known carcinogen.

25. I'd say you're chancing your arm here. Benzene is an additive in lead-free petrol and, yes, I'm sure that an addition will effect the performance of your car. But what the long term effect is, I wouldn't like to say. The oil firms do have a fair idea of what is a suitable composition for their petrol. Tinkering with the composition, unless you know exactly what you are doing, is asking for trouble. For starters I'd hazard a guess that it might coke up your engine. The carbon to hydrogen ratio is very high in benzene; if you've ever seen the yellow, smoky flame that burning benzene produces, it would convince you.

26. The electrolyte in a lead-acid battery is sulphuric acid. Epsom salt is magnesium sulphate. So, I'm prepared to believe that increasing the sulphate level in a failing battery might be helpful. But, unless the battery was on its last legs, I wouldn't really chance it.
