Highlights from tonight's Channel 4 show, TX: Thursday 7 July, 10pm on Channel 4 · Big Brother tells Maxwell and Anthony to clean the house · Craig is upset by the Mass Debating task · Science and Maxwell continue to wind each other up

Day 41 - Wednesday 6 July 2005

10.01am
The housemates are woken by the 'frog chorus' the boys sing along.

10.52am
Last night an argument erupted between Maxwell and Science about a water fight involving a toilet brush holder.
Derek and Eugene are in the garden talking about it, Derek blames alcohol for Maxwell and Anthony's silly behaviour.
Meanwhile, in the loft Vanessa and Makosi are complaining about the incident; "All the kitchen is filthy." Says Makosi.

Science is in the Diary Room talking to Big Brother; "Yesterday I tested the water to see if certain people could see beyond their nostrils. I was dishonoured, yes, but noone dishonours my family and gets away with it. He (Maxwell) is ignorant beyond a pig....who eats its own faeces. He disrespected my family and my mother. He doesn't like me and I don't like him."

11.42am
Maxwell and Craig are in the living room.
Kemal is in the kitchen, he has found some food that has been thrown away. Anthony admits to having eaten spaghetti bolognaise at 3am in the morning and Kemal is appalled saying to Vanessa; "It's like a zoo in here." He then decides to hide the pasta so that Anthony and Maxwell can't eat it in the middle of the night again.
"Say something about it instead of taking it." Interrupts Science. "You shouldn't have to do that."
They then complain about Eugene drinking 13 cups of tea a day. "I don't want to be the new Roberto, but it's ridiculous." Says Kemal.

12.23pm
Eugene and Anthony are working out in the garden.
Orlaith and Maxwell are in the kitchen. She tells him off for last night's dirty water fight; "Why did you mess up the kitchen last night?" But Maxwell is unrepentant.
Talk then turns to this Friday's eviction. "I'd like to styay obviously." Says Maxwell. "It's no secret me and Science don't like each other. You want me to stay don't you?"
"I couldn't care less." Orlaith replies bluntly.
"Ahh you're a liar, a bad liar." Maxwell laughs.

1.12pm
Eugene, Science and Kemal are in the seating area. Eugene ponders "how long it would take to build a house of bricks compared to a model of the same house in lego." This is met with silence from the others.

Meanwhile, Makosi and Vanessa are in the loft.
"Guess what Derek said to me this morning?" says Makosi. "Are you pregnant?"
"What? Oh the chances are so slim." Says Vanessa.
"I hope so I hope so. The father of my baby playing around with toilet fluid, it's a nightmare." Laughs Makosi.
"He's a baby himself." Agrees Vanessa.

Maxwell is in the Diary Room talking to Big Brother about Science; "He winds people up and he don't like seeing people have fun. I've only got two nights left with the fella, but I don't like him and I don't want to talk to him."

Maxwell exits and immediately aggravates Science who calls him a "*****." Maxwell calls Science a "Twiglet" and goes into the bedroom.

2.35pm
Derek, Craig, Orlaith and Vanessa are in the kitchen.
Big Brother calls Maxwell and Anthony to the Diary Room to chastise them for last night's water fight involving toilet brush holders. "It was the only thing I cold grab at the time." Says Anthony.

The boys return to the group armed with cleaning equipment and instructed to thoroughly clean all areas immediately. Anthony gets to work, but Maxwell sits and eats a bowl of pasta instead.

3.56pm
Big Brother has gathered the housemates to inform them of today's "Mass Debating" task.
They have been asked to divide themselves into two teams ready to debate the hot topic of the week: Maxwell Versus Science - who should stay and who should go?

Maxwell and Science must each captain a debating team and take it in turns to pick a housemate to join their team. They chose teams as follows; Team Maxwell - Derek, Anthony, Kemal, Orlaith Team Science - Craig, Makosi, Eugene, Vanessa

Craig reluctantly puts on his Science T shirt and walks out - he is upset with Maxwell. "Have I done a wrong un? I didn't think he'd pick Craig did I?" Maxwell says to Anthony.
Maxwell then follows Craig outside to explain, but Craig says; "I don't want to do the task, they can f**k off."

4.33pm
The housemates have had 20 minutes to prepare their speeches.
Derek is first to stand up for team Maxwell saying "The public see in him the essential qualities of Britishness - fair play, good team player, good humour - that's why he should stay in."
Craig then makes his half-hearted speech in favour of Science. "I do think if you look inside, deep down, he's a nice person."
Kemal is next, followed by Vanessa.
Craig suddenly leaves the group and goes to sulk in the loft. Derek and Maxwell go to get him back because all housemates must be present throughout the task.
"I'm not doing it." Moans Craig.
"Stop being a girl and come down." Says Maxwell.
They eventually coax him back to the house and Craig rejoins the group saying; "I needed some fresh air."

Makosi is next up saying of Science; "Compared to his rival he's a very hygienic man, he'd never play around with shitty water."
Lastly Maxwell and Science make their plea to stay in the house; "I will also miss my boys, Anthony and the delightful Craig. Keep Maxwell alive - 05!" says Maxwell.
"Imagine if this was a general election - would you have a man of no honour run the country?" says Science.

4.56pm
Craig is in the loft crying. Anthony and Maxwell join him.
"Oh man, I knew you'd be devastated. If Maxwell had to pick his favourite people in here he'd pick me and you." Pleads Anthony.
Maxwell then tries a different approach with Craig and tells him he thinks that Craig is doing this because he really wants him to leave.
"Are you being serious? Oh My God." Craig is surprised he would think this.
They then hug and Maxwell promises to give Craig a Team Maxwell T shirt.

Meanwhile, in the living room Vanessa, Makosi and Orlaith talk about Craig's response to the task; "It was just a debate. Noone should take it so personally. I'm disappointed in Craig, he's such a drama queen." Says Makosi.

8.16pm
An animal alarm sounds because some of the housemate have gone to sleep.
Derek and Eugene are in the kitchen talking about Orlaith; "I've never known a girl who takes clothes on and off so much." Comments Derek.
"It's good to see she puts the effort in, but she doesn't need to." Says Eugene.
Meanwhile, Makosi is cutting the grass when Science argues with her because he wanted to do it. She refuses to stop and tells him to "Grow up."
He goes inside and complains to Craig, while Makosi continues cutting the grass saying "I hate him" to herself. Eugene joins her; "It's not my place to say, I'd never get into an argument. But I think Science wanted to keep it (the grass) so it'd be like a sign from the air."
"You can't communicate with the outside world!" she reminds him. "He's just spoiled."
Eugene decides to leave her to it.

9.21pm
Craig, Makosi, Maxwell and Orlaith are in the living room.
Derek and Kemal are in the kitchen.
In the seating area, Science tells Eugene; "People are arse lickers in here, but I don't lick no butt cheeks. I'd rather done what I've done than the opposite. I was already on a journey before I come in here, this was just a part of it so I'm happy. I don't wanna be going anywhere now, but let's be realistic about the situation."

11.57pm
Kemal and Science are in the seating area in silence when Science says; "I'd rather sit here by myself."
"Why are you saying that? Don't feel sorry for yourself." Kemal says before leaving him to it.

I really hope this isnt just a huge anti climax to them doing a huge stitch up job on Science tomorrow when the majority of votes are done.

Overall the show looks pretty decent. It is good that they are going to show the reactions to the toilet water-throwing from the night before. My only worry is how they show the Makosi argument. They HAVE to show Makosi being told by BB that she has to cut the grass.

i think even if the do show makosi being instructed to cut the grass it doesn't matter because science wasn't that rude to her! He didn't realise so its not his fault!
Maxwell witrh the whole toilet water incident comes across much worse!

It was possibly the original intention of BB to stitch Science up by asking Makosi ... we will still have to wait and see how they portray this ...

possibly.. or they may just not show big brother instructing makosi to cut the grass. Either way its not like science did a saskia style rant so i think he'll be ok.
I personally think endemol want science to stay!
Why would they want a loud mouthed bully winning big brother!
