Aida, Cida & Dida
Award In Digital Applications
Certificate Diploma Anyone doing these for GCSE IT. My brother just started his GCSE course at school this year which runs for 2 years (y10 & y11). Has asked me if I will help him a bit, whilst me at uni doing comps etc, one of those things. Anyways, was wondering what bits are required properly. He doesn't listen too much at school, so hasn't told me much, I just hope he will listen to me when teaching him, lol. Told him tho' won't help with everything, and I ain't doing his work for him, otherwise he will learn nothing & fail exam. |

ROFL. Seen your stitching before, so think i'll give a miss. Should have mentioned, it just depends upon how many are passed. If 1 only, then its AIDA, if 2 or 3 its CIDA, if 4 then its DIDA, and I think its 4 units involved, split up into other units. Just interested into what work is involved |

Turns out its an IT course module by EdExcel. The term being Award in Digital Applications, or Certificate, or Diploma. He said to me, you heard of Dida, I thought not really, something to do with Databases. He had no clue has he doesn't listen. |

with DiDa i think its 1 part that deals with multimedia like video editing, and another what covers word, excel, access, powerpoint.
I think they are trying to make it more interesting by putting all the boring office stuff into one part, and then having several other units that are different. But since we're only starting to teach it this year, i'm not too sure yet! |

Ok thanks for the info, have downloaded the Powerpoint file on the site cs49 linked to.
Good thing for him, is that I have all the software required as I've used all of it for uni, like macromedia. Which I would say many people in his class (y10 primary) wouldn't have or have never heard of it. Quackers from your post, are you a techer or assistance then? The powerpoint file says there is no exam, so I think he will pass. ![]() Word, Excel, Publisher, Powerpoint & website it says. |
