Two Ronnies - best DVD anyone??

My son hadn't really seen any of the Two Ronnies sketches and loved 4 Candles, and so I'd like to get a DVD compilation for him. Checked out Amazon and there are three DVD's available with best of compilations: "Best of the Two Ronnies - (1971) (1983) (and Volume 2) but they all got bad reviews, saying the quality was poor, no extras and they'd missed out a lot of the best sketches. Anybody disagree and can say which one they'd recommend?

I recorded the compilation show onto DVD and edited off my favourite ones.

The also did a compilation show in the mid 80s just before they retired

I recken one will be available soon in the wake of Ronnie Barker and the Christmas season being around the corner

I think the best thing to buy, if it gets a DVD release, would be the 'Sketchbook' programmes shown earlier this year- although the classic sketches are cropped to 14:9, they are shown in full, and across the six programmes all the classics are there.

I would love to see the Frost Report repeated - I was very young when it came out and it had all the classic people in it

I wish the BBC would release "By the Sea" and "The Picnic" on DVD. Both were hysterical and you have to dig deep to get a copy on VHS from ebay!

Unfortunately the classic "fork handles" sketch appears to be missing from all the 2 Ronnies dvd's,although it is included on the first volume of the Greatest Comedy Moments that the BBC released a few years back.
It was given away as a freebie in a Sunday paper a few months ago

I would wait and see.

There are sure to be some new ones released like someone else said.

A box set would be the best idea because they have years and years of classic sketches.
