First Four Episodes were great but the last few have been kind of shall i say boring the whole show is definately not ground breaking stuff and sometimes it tends to be a little slow but the thing i hate is when they retread storylines that other (better) cop shows like nypd blue and homicide life on the street have done better.
Other quams i have is it's just not gritty enough for my liking, when rhames was showing that inmate his battle scars from back in the day i was just like why can't they take this (back story) a little further. Everything is a little to safe like a diagnosis murder or columbo to be more appropriate. That's what this show feels like sometimes a jazzy columbo. Before i end my rant the biggest problem is the lack of story arcs. The little chance they had to make one was with the (super hot) Roselyn Sanchez character apparently in episode 1 these guys wanted her to throw a case or something i don't know but the producers seems to have axed that plan and now she hardly features(just cameos), such a beauty should bless our screens every week but instead the only time we see her is in some generic will they won’t they love story plot. |

I believe it's been cancelled in America - if true it would be a shame because, Ving Rhames has done a good job.
As I said in an earlier thread - if Holmes, Maigret etc can be done again & again, then why not Kojak? |

I think Ving Rhames is good but I agree that the story lines let it down. You are left wanting at the end.. its a shame because all it needs is good script writers.

Great acting by Rhames. The adaptation of a black Kojak has been pulled off well!
