Shelley Winters dies at 85 - Movies

I don't know if a lot of people here will know anything about her career, but she won two Oscars and starred in Lolita, The Diary of Anne Frank to name a few but also became best known to a new generation as Roseanne's "nana" in US television show Roseanne.

I only just hears about his - such a shame. She was true Hollywood Royalty and starred in some of my favourite movies including Night of the Hunter, A Place in the Sun and the classic Poseidon Adventure (!)

A brilliant and very very funny lady who will be sadly missed. They don't make them like her anymore

Very sad.
She did look quite ill when I saw her on TV just before Christmas though
