I think he was half joking. He also had a problem with George talking about nominations like he did.

I wondered whether he was scared of Preston, so took it out on George. Or perhaps he realises that Preston would probably be a favourite and so was hedging his bets?

he probably understood prestons feelings towards chantelle, id say. however george does not feel the same way about her, and infact makes fun of her himself, yet made out otherwise. maggot confronted preston but it was to apologise, and to say "you shouldve told me you felt that way"..he didnt know he was hurting anyone, because he knows chantelles a fun girl n would take it as it was meant to be taken.

Maggot was right to be angry. He may have been winding Chantelle up, but Preston just walked off and left her to it. If he truly believed his "soulmate" was being ridiculed, he should have stood up for her there and then. (Mind you, he doesn't seem to mind the public humiliation of anyone he's close to, does he?!) By walking off, he didn't give Maggot any sign that he was bothered by the Capitals game. He said nothing to Maggot afterwards, and then nominated him when put on the spot because he was still a bit miffed!
George just agreed with him, because I think they agreed on Traci, but Rula was George's choice so he let Preston pick one. When they left the diary room, within a very short time they both confessed quietly, and individually, to another HM that they regretted nominating Maggot. So I think he was unjustly nominated, and he knows it! |

George picked Traci, when BB asked for their 2nd nomination. George said either Rula or Maggot. Preston went with the flow. |

On the live feed you could also see Maggot explaining to the others the reason he was angry was because he's less forgiving of George because of his status as an MP, he should know better than to break the rules.
