Cheating threads

There seems to have been a sudden outbreak of threads apparently related to cheating. Why are there so many?

Also, has anybody contributing to any of them ever encountered the word "cheat"? I only ask because, AFAIAA, a "cheetah" is a member of the cat family, known for its speed when hunting prey. "Cheater", OTOH, is a term used by primary school children (and not the brightest in the class, if I recall correctly) who seem to think it is an amusing play on words.

I cheated a lot in High School.

I cheated with guy after guy.

I think it's the only way I passed Math.

I started the first one, then a few people got a bit silly afterwards. I am not sure why to be honest. Maybe they have been hurt in the past or something. I even got a private message by some guy about it all.

All very strange.

I must confess to cheating sometimes, quite rare that I do these days though.

Only when a computer game gets the better of me and I've been stuck at one point for, like, hours
