I've heard this phrase uttered by someone at least twice, has anyone heard of this expression before or used it?

Does anyone know where it comes from?

'Flipping Aida' I used to hear a lot but I haven't heard anyone say that in ages.

It always caused me to giggle as a child, my favourite Nan's name was Ada.

I have no idea why her name was used as a swear word mind you.
