This years Summer will be a SCORCHER!

A prediction has been said that this summer will see temperatures saw into the 80's!As a lot more rain is going to fall upon our heads. It is said that this will lead to a climatic change in atmosphere. And this Summer will be one of the driest and dead heats.Freak thunderstorms around July and August.Possibly September will see powercuts and deaths.Deaths as in people getting struck by lightening. In the English Riviera. The climate will be very very mediterranean.Scotland and northern parts of UK.Will not get such hot temperature. They will have an average temperature of around 60 degrees ferranheit.

Suggestions are:

Avoid the London underground in rush hour.
Always carry fresh drinking water.Eat a light meal before you leave.
Dont use hosepipe to water that sunflower.Use a few cups of water a day and do it in the evening.

Dont water plants at noon.Wait until the sun has gone down to avoid damage.

In forests please do not drop your ciggerettes as you could be responsibvle for a forest fire. And there is a penalty for that.Jail time!

Stick to these official suggestions and you will be okey.

Use sunscreen

Where long sleeve tshirts. And regsardless if you are a man or woman.Where shorts and sandles.Try and avoid make up ladies. You may end up looking like Alice Cooper after the makeup has melted in your sweat due to high temperatures.

This is a wonderful thing.I cannot wait until summer.Anyone got any views on what they will be doing this Summer??

This is sensational, but I won't believe it until I see a source.

We had an Arctic winter. The blizzards in Scotland. The icy cold conditions at night. The ice on the cars. And the rainfall that isnt sure if it is snow or rain.

High winds that sweep people, cows and washing away.It has been chilly. And the sad news is the cold weather is set to continue until mid april.

I hear there is a proposal to ban smoking in forests that serve food.

It's possible I guess, the summer of 2003 was incredibly hot for ages - living in a carpeted, badly insulated house was pretty dreadful that year, but it did cheer life up on the whole!

Its been 15-17C here in Suffolk for the past few days. But I love heat, I could live in 40C+ quite happily. And you still haven't told us where you go this info so I don't believe you.

A good indication of a hot summer is if the crows nests are at the top of the tree

I'll promise you one, but you'll have to move to Siberia. Is that OK?

There has never been such good advice since the US citizens were blessed with 'In case of bird flu stored canned tuna and powdered milk under your bed'.

We had a summer I distinctly remember it, it was a Wednesday in July, about 2.30 in the afternoon - if you missed it, well that's your own fault

Anyone in Scotland want to swap with someone on the South coast? (Providing you get rid of the midges of course).

Hot summer? My idea of hell

I hate London when it is scorching. It ok when in the car, but one can't live in a car.

Well what the OP has forecast doesn't sound that dramatic. Last Summer saw temperatures soar into the 80's at times, and there were thunderstorms (I'm never quite sure what is meant by "freak" thunderstorms), at times. Many were quite severe. Here in Essex there was one in which there was almost incessant forked lightning for about 3 hours.

If you are out, and get hit, you will probably die. There are lightning deaths most years, usually golfers and people who shelter under trees.

Nothing that unusual.

If it's hot and dry there will probably be few thunderstorms, if it's humid damp heat, there will probably be a lot.
