Info needed - "Walkabout " with Sky+ !!!!
I have a Sky + (Pace V3) in the house and was wondering. If I disconnect it and take it away in the caravan with me, will I be able to watch the programmes off the hard-drive without it being connected to the dish and phone line?
I know that it's supposed to be connected to the phone for 12 months, but if I leave it at home, the power is going to be turned off anyway. Thanks in advance, Lee. |

It has to be connected to the dish to be able to watch recorded progs. The card also has to have the package for the channels recorded. For e.g. you can't record a load of films and then cancel the movie channels and then try to watch the films.

The box also needs the dish to effectivly "check" you are subscribed to the Sky+ services, so it won't even work with free-to-view channels! :(
