So many complaints, but what would YOU do to make it better?
So, another year, more complaints about the show. Most of this is unconstuctive criticism, so how would YOU improve the show for BB8.
Personally, I have a few ideas. Increase the prize fund to £500,000. Allow nominations talk. Change the voting system, vote for your favourite. Have HM's nominate live on a Monday show with a 2 min time limit. Those suggestions are all aimed at bringing back the competitive element of BB. Too many HM's go in knowing that the prize money will be a small part of what they can earn. Only Jade Goody has passed the 1/2 million mark. More money at stake increases the desire to win, and make the HM's see each other more as opponents than "BFF's", also reducing all this damned crying. Voting for your favourite, keeps in the more interesting HM's for longer. This week, we will witness the most idiotic moment for the current system when either the third or fourth favourite is evicted. Add your own. |

For this week, if they insist on cancelling nominations and putting them all up (which in itself was a ridiculous idea), then they should've used it as an opportunity to get rid of the dead wood, have positive voting, the 3 that have the least votes to stay (i.e. Imogen, Susie and Mikey) are evicted and the show continues as normal.

I agree with all of your list, except for allowing them to talk about nominations, which I think should be secret and exciting. I would add:
Failure to nominate within the two minutes will automatically be punished with a nomination for both the reluctant nominator and the person closest to them in the house. Positive voting would ensure the dullards like Mikey, Imogen, Susie and Glyn would be first out, leaving the interesting ones and obviating any 'need' for the moron producers to fiddle with the format in an attempt to spice it up. |

Re #2 - It's too late to turn it into a positive vote; the eviction numbers were given out at the end of BBBB this evening.

How about... Not design an eviction to get rid of the biggest character of the entire series?

I absolutely think the prize fund should go up. If Endemol can afford putting £250,000 at risk SIX DAYS A WEEK on Deal Or No Deal, surely they can afford to put a £1,000,000 prize on Big Brother - it would mean they cared a LOT MORE about winning than they do at the moment and cause a lot more tension on eviction night I reckon.

I would have each HM making 2 nominations every week.
The 2 or more HMs with the most nominations would go up for the public vote. Simple...but it might work. |

They should have made it a 'vote to save' this week to get rid of the less entertaining ones. Even though I find some of the bigger characters highly annoying, I would rather they stayed. They make the highlight shows worth watching. |

I think that positive voting is deffo the way to go. But keep nominations talk secret.
As for making it more 'competitive' ... no ... I think that make it all the more 'not real'. You'd just end up with people winning who are the best at being manipulative and fake, and that sucks. Personally I like to see someone win it who actually deserves it - i.e. an all round good egg!! But no, really ... ![]() I'd like to see some tasks which rely on housemates' knowledge of each others' personalities - that would be interesting! |

They should stop the picthing HMs against each other policy and go back to seeing how people get on together without all the manipulation from BB.
BB1 and BB2 worked brilliantly because it was fantastic to see them getting on and watching reletionships grow, not break down. I remember a huge fuss when Liz told Helen that Paul didn't like her as much as she liked him and to protect herself [after he'd gone]. It was HUGE!! The one mildly bitchy thing that was said in the whole series almost]. She was hated at the time but now she'd be seen as a saint. BB should give tasks that build close ties and strenthen relaitonships [like the string] and that last longer than a day or two. The tasks should entertain us and stimulate them physically and mentally. They need privacy too, just some. Remember Paul and Helen in the den? |

I'd like to see them nominate as usual, but in fact we would be voting regardless. The 'nomination results' would be announced as usual on the Tuesday, but it would be the names of the voting public's least popular housemates (you can get this via positive or negative voting). That way we might get the housemates we want and we'd still get to see the fascinating nominations and announcement unadulterated.
How and where can I apply to run the next series? Will it matter that I don't have a media studies degree? |

To make BB better, then they should :
1. Evil BB. 2. Have nominations made face to face on the sofas. 3. HM found breaking the rules in the slightest - Then automatically up for eviction. 4. Secret Houses/Rooms - Planned & framework made BEFORE the series starts. 5. If they don't do No. 2 - Then don't tell the HM's who's up for eviction until Davina tells them on Friday. 6. If a HM asks to leave - kick them out, no messing with them. And have them replaced straight away. 7. Get rid of the secret BBLB cameras - A giant rabbit in the garden, no one will expect that, will they? 8. More 24 hour Tasks! 9. End the 'Golden Ticket' rubbish. 10. Put an end to the 'dry-run' HM's, from ever entering the BB house. 11. Try to put an end to HM's from meeting in auditions. 12. Get a presenter or make Davina's interview of the evicted HM, what the public actually want. As Makosi was treated and made out to be a like murderer. Where 'public disliked' Maxwell, Saskia, Sezer & Grace were treated like puppies. |

Here's an idea. Put x number people in a house. Let them secretly nominate 2 people to be evicted each week and then let the public vote to evict one that week. Continue this formula until the last eviction night when it will be the best of three in a live vote.
All HMs must be new and unknown to each other, people who have been previously rejected or appeared on dummy shows will not be allowed on the real show. In this series it has been obvious that HMs particularly the newbies knew each other. BBs punishments should be consistent, not based on Endemols view of the popularity of any housemate. This series has seriously messed up; even Davina has screwed up this time |

Don't pick anyone who wants to be a contestant. Pressgang suitable candidates off the streets of the nation and bribe them to take part with real money or drugs.
