I have these strange maggot things crawling around the house at times. They are small, maggot like and some are hairy and others are armoured shell and many legs. Usually a reddish brown colour. What are these insects?

How do you get rid of them and what insects do you have crawling around your house.

Are they wood lice?

Sounds like you could have a bit of a damp problem.

Sound like mealworms to me. We get them in our house occasionally. We had a plague of them last year until I found where most of the egss were.

Carpet beatle ?

I see a lot in the bathroom and they are as nimble as silver fish. I picked one up in a tissue and it was a hairy one. I located an egg near skirting board and below carpet line. White egg thingy crawling about. I keep spiders in the house as they catch flies in their webs. Sometimes spiders like big mansion webs and so must destroy these big ones. Little ones are fine.

theres sometimes a few slugs i find under my fridge (just outside the door) but they only come out at nite why?

Sleep during the day. also because a slug is intelligent, they know that you are likely to raid the fridge for a scooby snak and drop a hunk of cheese and bacon on the floor. Also it is cooler and darker until you open the fridge door.


There is a device that emits a freq that insects cannot stand. Shame it isnt in any of the shops


I once knew somebody who had a Giant Hogweed in their house. They found it beautiful and i was afraid to go into the lounge as I know these things sting.
