A better comparison would be when a naked Sezer barely covering his bits with a towel grabbed Imogen from behind and pulled her down onto his lap. That was far more predatory and invasive than Spirals backfired joke, yet no one was crying rape then.

People are just anxious to find a new villain at the moment, and Spiral is being offered by the producers as the leading candidate.

Umm.. He didn't corner them with it and rub himself up against them.

Pete got a positive reaction from the women present. They were yelling for him to ahem... get it out.

Spiral could see he was making Ais uncomfortable and the laughter was awkward shock rather than fun and devilment.

Sometimes harassment is in the eye of the harassed - ie if you don't feel harassed then fine it wasn't harassment.

Sometimes it's in the intention behind the act in question. Pete acted in fun. I guess it depends if you think what Spiral did came from a good natured place of fun in his heart or a harassing bullyboy place.

You can probably guess my position on this!

Selective memory? Many people found this disgusting.

Oddly enough 2 days later Sezer was on the front page of the Sun for being an alleged date rapist.

(By the way, most people aren't crying rape/sex pest including Ash)

The difference with what Pete did is that he was drunk at the time and flashed, it wasn't aimed at one person in particular but a group of people. Spiral did what he did to one women who has already shown she is uncomfortable with him in certain situations.

The difference was Pete was egged on to 'flash' and it happened within a group of people who were just having a laugh and he was quite willing to participate within a group situation. I'd say a guy naked grabbing hold of a woman was a bit different. However, all Aisleyne did was say that she felt a little uncomfortable by this. Spiral in subsequent conversations with Aisleyne implied it was because of the way she dressed that she's sending out the wrong signals. And good for her the way she questioned him about whether he would do the same thing to other female housemates.

I do remember it being commented on. I suspect the reason for there not being much anger in that case was because him and Imogen were performing for the cameras every night in the bedroom. Sezer got more stick for his lecherous chat up lines.

I think you're right about the villian theory.

Actually, when I first saw this incident between Spiral and Aisleyne I thought it was a bit of fun, but having read some of the posts here I can't believe some of the naive views of some of the posters.

Pete exposed himself within a group situation where he was encouraged to and where he was surrounded by both males and females, so it was not in a threatening way to one particular person.

She was only uncomfortable when he was pushing himself against her. Before that, it was just a bit of light hearted banter between him and her. She playfully threw water into the shower. She didn't get in with him. There was no excuse for what he did, it doesn't matter if he had no bad intentions.

There was a difference between the Pete incident and the Spiral incident. Pete didn't shove it into anybody, they also egged him on before he revealed it, and then got a positive reaction. As has already been said, it was also in a group situation, rather than any one on one stuff.

Interesting point. I don't think Aisleyne would have minded to be honest. But if Pete did that then it would still be out of order. The thing is though, would Pete do that?
