Tall building devopment - is it justified ?

Should we stay with bungalows, as they are nicer?

I could never live in a bungalow. There's something fundamentally not right about not going upstairs to bed, in my mind!

You could put some steps up from the living room to the bedroom then put some planks under the bed to raise it - job done, sorted

I don't like bungalows myself

I feel safer sleeping upstairs, and having separate living and sleeping areas

I love living all on one floor, but would never want to live on the groundfloor so for me tall-ish buildings are a must. Not massively far up though, I'd hate to be higher than about the fourth floor!

Bring back 3 storey houses with cellars i say! Would go some way to resolving the small living space in those box-like new build houses and help with our space problems?

Yep, me too! I always like the images of American houses on TV, low wide and roomy, with a nice wide 'yard' at the back. If we did that in this country though, we would spill over onto the I. of Wight.

Yes if youre comparing them to those horrible 60s apartment blocks but not compared to new modern skyscrapers IMO.

If we keep building bungalows there isnt going to be anymore room left eventually!
