A few things on there that look quite good, especially from the dramas.

The dramas look brilliant. Really good. Also looking forward to The One Sessions and Planet Earth returning. Also Robin Hood. Great drama to take the slot left vacant by DW.

And of course The Royle Family.

Not too shabby at all.

what about waking the dead?

It finished on a big cliffhanger and that must be about a year ago now.

There will be another series but if spence is dead (which is the only realistic conclusion) can see it being the last as the new characters were crap

Nice to see David Tennant can justify not being able to shoot much for DW:season 2/ ep 10 on the basis that he was busy hunting down his ancestors, and trying to work out who he was (Recovery)

Or that he was a bit occupied in a quarry shooting The Impossible Planet and The Satan Pit, which was the actual reason.

A lot of that sounds very interesting. The one off comedy dramas sound good. So glad Planet Earth and Spooks are returning and yes Waking the Dead will return.

There are several programmes there that sound quite appealing to me.

I *really* hope Jam and Jerusalem is good. I think it's written by Jennifer Saunders.

Yes Jennifer Saunders has written it. Sounds a decent enough cast.

or perhaps these were either recorded before DW S2, or even after DW filming had been completed.

Jane Eyre?!?!? *excited face*

Most of the dramas look good, and I always enjoy Who do you think you are?. Might skip Dickinson's episode, though.

Someone put Casualty out of its misery, please! Like someone said above, totally copying ER and ending up looking a hundred times worse than what it is.

Why does science, technology and engineering always get overlooked?

Overlooked in the announcements probably because they are not seen as "popular headline grabbers" but they are probably there in the forthcoming schedules (Horizon, Science Shack, et al).

Can't wait for more Spooks, annoys me even more than American TV when they go for cliffhanger endings because there's only 10 episodes of Spooks compared with 24 episodes of US TV so we have 14 extra weeks to wait!!

Which leads to the question: why did they have to shoot back-to-back when by taking longer they could have had more "Doctor Who" in s2/ep10?

My guess is that it enabled DT to do other work after shooting. Thus compromising DW output.
