News Flash: Emmerdale Releases Charity Record Today!!!

Hi guys, I don't know whether you have seen the news alert on the ITV main Emmerdale website, but I have copied and pasted it here.

I's really easy to order, i have done it earlier today, you just text and they charge your phone, it comes in the post!!! here's the news item:

A moving track written especially for Alice and Sam Dingle’s wedding is going on sale to raise money for Leukaemia Research.

The track ‘Easy Come, Easy Go’ was written and performed by Rob Ellis especially for the pair’s nuptials in April.

The tear jerking track will also be screened during Alice’s tragic death later this month as she loses her battle with the illness.

Following calls on the ITV.com message board, we’ll now be able to get our hands on the CD or ringtone from Monday 24 July.

It can be bought via your mobile phone for £3 and all profits will go to the charity.

Series Producer Kath Beedles says, “When the song first appeared in the episode where Sam and Alice got married, a number of fans were desperate to get hold of the song and suggested a release for charity.

“Thanks to Rob Ellis’ generosity in waiving his royalties, we were able to go ahead with this great idea, donating all net profits to leukaemia research.”

Rob says “It was an honour to write a song for such powerful and high-profile storyline. Everybody knows someone who has gone through a heartbreaking situation like Sam and Alice.”

And, it’s not the first time Rob’s sang a track for a high profile wedding.

He also performed one of his songs at Guy Ritchie and Madonna’s wedding in 2000.

Well if it’s good enough for them….!

To order a CD text ALICE followed by a space then your name, address and postcode to 78484. The cost of the song will be £3 (2 x texts at £1.50 each). Normal network charges apply.

To order the realtone or polyphonic ringtone of Easy Come, Easy Go for your mobile, text ALICE to 83339. This will also cost £3. Normal network charges apply.

I can't even remember what the music was, but I'll buy it anyway on my mobile.

I don t know how it works, but maybe the more people that buy it the more chance it will have of being no.1... not sure if it will be part of the normal charts anyway, but it's for a really great cause and you dont even have to go to the shops to buy it, the download thing they have set up is a really cool idea - I am so excited and cant wait for mine to come in the post, i wonder if there are any extras on the CD or if it's just the one song?...
