An 1980s "sit-com" on ITV - TV Programmes

The thread on bad sit coms reminded me of some of my favourites from the 80s. I loved filthy rich and and catflap.

I remember there was a sit com though, on ITV or possibly Channel 4, which was set in a school. It was on about 8.00/9.00pm and was broadcast about 1986-7.

I remember the school had a teacher who was from Norway and who was like a viking.

Anyway the show was short lived and got loads of complaints. I remember it being risque although I was about 14 at the time.

Does anyone have an idea what this show was called?

I have a feeling that it was taken of air because of its content.

i remember watching that, it was brilliant

i couldn't really understand what was so objectionable about it though, even then
