Sky dish for receiving from two different satellites?

Hi.

I live in northern ireland and have a sky minidish with a quad LNB. I no longer subscribe to sky and am using a HDCI2000 for stellite viewing of both 28.2 english/bbc etc.. and 19.2 for german programming.

Currently I manually move the satellite from one position to another for the different satellites. I actually find the german one easier to pick up than the english, but correclty alligned both work well. However I now want a more permanent solution to things.

My question can I attach anything other than the sky LNB to the end of my sat dish? E.g. two dual LNBs at different angles? Is the dish big enough for dual pick ups? Should I go motorised somehow? Do I need a new dish and where to buy? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

well if you replaced the sky minidish with an 80cm you could have both 19east and 28east by using an offset lnb

or an 80cm dish with a diseqc motor to the humax receiver would work well and you could pickup other satellites too

Probably cheapest solution ( if allowed) would be a second minidish and disceq switch if you are only interested in those two satellites and as you are getting satisfactory reception on one (with moving it). Minidish is probably too small for two lnbs on bracket - plus you would have great difficulty attaching them to the lnb arm on a minidish.

If one dish only required an 80cm with two lnb fitting bracket and disceq switch would do, you could even add a third lnb for hotbird 13e for more choice

Thanks.

Where is the best place to get an 80cm dish and two or three lnb switch or a motor? How cheap are motors these days and are they reliable?

Also with a disceq switch, is the switch placed near to the dish so that only one lead needs to enter the house?

theres some cheap ones on ebay and motors are cheap around 35 for a moteck 2100a diseqc motor

yes the switch would go on to the wall near the dish and just 1 cable would go into the house

1 cable goes into the house for motors too as the diseqc commands and power are through the coax cable
