opened yesterday

i think it looks similar to the one in newcastle

hi ovalteenie...i really hate the name squinty bridge
i think it was dubbed by the glasgow evening times.
until it was named the clyde arc, i called it finnieston
bridge..see the thread for Clyde Arc..i've put a link to
a slideshow on flickr of the spectacular firework display
at last nights opening ceremony. with the exception of
the finnieston crane, none of the buildings existed in 1997.
this is just a tiny bit of the regeneration taking place here..

Thms, how can you not like the name Squinty bridge? I love it. It's much more Glaswegian than the more formal Glasgow Arc which makes me think of the biblical tale of Noah.

for some reason i think of people with a squinty eye
