Replacing my Sky Box
I have an Amstrad Sky Box which has gone wrong - been through all the diagnostics on the phone and no luck. Have posted on the Advice board about my rights as it is just over a year old, but assuming it is no longer usable can I just replace it with another one? Hubby's dad has one - a Grundig - he no longer uses as he has TUTV so can I just connect it up and put my card in the slot?

As I said over the the Sky forum, it was sold fit for purpose. You only have rights if it's sold dodgy. You have two easy options, call Sky and pay £65 call out for box replacement (likely to be an old refurbished box). Alternatively connect a replacement box up yourself (such as the Grundig you mention). Once you put your card in you will get all the subscription channels except premium ones (movies and sport). What you will want to do is phone Sky and have your card paired with the new box.
