us stars invasion of the UK stage

looking at the number of american actors/singers who are currently gracing the stage here in the uk (or who have recently) it got me wondering - if you could get any us actor/singer on stage in london who would it be

for instance, currently we have:

Adam garcia (from coyote ugly) and indina menzel (from rent) in wicked
billy zane (from titanic etc) in dance lessons
ashley simpson in chicago
kim cattrall (sex and the city) in the cryptogram
patrick swayze in guys and dolls
patrick stewart (star trek) is in a show at the RSC
neve campbell (scream/pary of five), Kristen Johnston (3rd rock from the sun/er) and Micheal Kean (lavern and shirley and this is spinal tap) all in Love Song

and have recently had kevin spacey, joshua Jackson (From dawsons creek) kathleen turner, woody harrelson, alicia witt, christinan slater, rob lowe, juliet lewis etc

i would love to see Jonny depp or claire danes on the UK stage

Adam Garcia is an Aussie, Patrick Stewart is from Yorkshire and Kim Cattrell was born in Liverpool.

Depp was in some stage production. I remember on Britains Next Top Model.

David Schwimmer was also in the west end a while ago too.

Plenty of Brits go over to Broadway though, so it all evens out! In the summer I saw a play on Broadway and the whole cast were british - best show I saw out there!

Don't forget, former Dallas actors are also gracing the UK stage. Patrick Duffy is starring in panto in Cinderella, in Woking. And Ken Kercheval (Cliff Barnes) is in Southhampton, starring in White Christmas at the Mayflower.

And if she manages to return to TV successfully like her former co-stars Jennifer Love Hewitt and Matthew Fox she'll stay here even less.

I think that Kevin Spacey now owns or co-owns the Old Vic so he has a lot of input into British theatre - and he is certainly A list.

Good grief. Patrick Duffy is in Panto at Woking?! Now there's a sentence I thought I'd never read
