What so soaps are not allowed to film in anywhere that could be considered a tourist spot are they? Besides that was years ago.

A bit random ... anyway they should be allowed to film in real places, it just brings a bit of reality to the show

I think the London Eye is already the most visited tourist attraction in London so doesn't really need further advertising. It is now seen as a symbol of London as much as Buckingham Palace and the Tower of London but much easier to arrange filming at.
