X-Factor ... the conspiracy theorists view!!

Ok, here goes ......

Simon's weekly attacks on the McD's have been, without doubt, absolutely horrendous and totally uncalled for .... you can dislike the act without taking it so far - this week he virtually criticised him with his first words, and several more times before they even performed .... and then his comments on their performance (which was better than his own act Ray's cat wailing) was cruel to say the least

So ...... im beginning to wonder if he is over-compensating, and doing this so deliberately!!

Firstly, he commented that the more he criticised, the more they get voted for .... so why not do the simple thing and shut the hell up? I don't believe all this Scottish vote thing, but i think that his comments (i see he is now 50% Scottish! ) will make those in Scotland vote several times, and those elsewhere in the UK who are voting, some because of his cruel comments may do the same ..... in either case, Mr Cowell rakes in the cash from the votes!

Secondly, look back at the previous X-Factor winners .... who, i hear you say! Let's face it, at the end of this show, someone has to get this contract ..... so why not the MacDonalds? Their first record would probably sell, given the amount of backing they received as the underdogs, and the sympathy vote might carry them for a bit, until the fade away into the background of the pop world. Of course, the people buying the song to prove Simon wrong, would of course again be lining Simon's pockets

Thirdly, it would then leave Mr Cowell to snap up his favourite Leona, in his view a much more marketable asset for potentially a much smaller sum ..... again, leaving Simon quids in

Does anyone else see the common demoninator here Hey, it aint that far fetched when you think of it!!!

PS Let me just finish by saying that i didnt think the McD's were the worst on Saturday, they were way above the woeful Ray, and Eton Road who should be strung up for murdering the Scissor Sisters track

Are people so thick that they can't see Simon is a sneaky businessman! He EVEN ADMITTED that the more he criticises them the more votes they get. If he wants them out then why give them more negative comments. If you vote for McDonalds just because of that then I'm sorry you don't deserve to live.

Like i said, it's quids in for him if it works this way .... cash from the calls, cash from the McD's first single (bought by those people trying to piss him off ) and a cheaper route to signing Leona!

Forget Diana ..... forget 9/11 ...... this is the big one, guys!!!!

It's a fair point that the OP makes. I even wondered about it myself the last couple of weeks.

Don't forget that they know who is polling a lot of votes, so will probably try to maximise those votes to make more money.
So why not try to make as much money from the MacDonalds if the votes are coming in?
It wouldn't make business sense not to if they are polling more votes than Eton Road, Robert, Ray, or anybody else who has previously been in the bottom two.
It's as plausible a theory as any other.

Well, At least you have theory, unlike those ridiculous posts that simply claim that the whole series is "fixed" !

My own preferred conspiracy theory is that he judges choose which acts they want in the bottom 2 each week, and then try to manipulate the public to vote accordingly by choosing songs for the 'victims' which are either plain dull or out of their vocal range, ensuring they will sound bad and get fewer votes.

There can't be any other explanation - how can the vocal coaches work with the finalists through the week and NOT know when a song choice is just plain wrong? Yet they still keep pushing them on, insisting they'll be great.

Of course, Ben and Leona get songs that are slap bang in the middle of their comfort zone week after week .... Fixed? Surely not?!!

Hey, it's all about money and revenue maximisation at the end of the day, isnt it?

Simon can say it's about talent all he want, but if it was he would have kept robert in, instead of those 4 wailing cats!!
