Always thought this forum was full of fair-minded people, who will give people a chance - so let's give Jan a chance. After all, she's not really done all that much wrong in there, apart from being a bit blown away by her experience so far - not really surprising given that she's been voted to do trials like a conveyor belt so far!

I found her a bit much at first, but now she's growing on me - she took getting the trial again last night with a smile, some wouldn't have if put in that position. She talked about doing a trial with snakes, and got attacked (behind her back) for it. Why shouldn't she have talked about it - what the hell else is there for her to do in there? Of course she would talk about it!!

David was completely out of order, being so a'rsy about the fact that someone else was talking for once - he was acting like a self-centred pig.

I love the way she can cry one minute and laugh the next, that is someone not afraid to show her emotion.

Count me in as a Jan fan, hope I'm like her when I'm in my 60's!!

Yes, all right, if we're being fair-minded, I will admit that Scott's reaction to Jan's (much relived) moment of glory was mean and petty. Perhaps he thought his scary old earthworms were just like snakes, but a bit smaller?

I can't I'm sorry but just because she is old it doesn't stop her being a vile manipulative fake who wants to be surrounded and adored by men but has no time for women.

There are plenty of other people who haven't had a go yet. It's the same every year, contestants are constantly slagged off for not providing any entertainment and it's all our fault. If people keep voting for the same person all the time, it outweighs personality from all the other campers and then they are voted out

Seriously.....you dont want to be like Jan when you are older. People like Jan Leeming are insecure, under confident, depressed, lonely and cannot see any hope. They drift from relationship to relationship, tend to have few (if any) friends, and try to 'buy' affection where they can.

On top of all this they feel that the world owes them a favour and they sit and wonder "Why me?"

People who vote, vote for those they want to see do the trials! You can vote multiple times for another contestant to even things out if you want!

Shame on the UK public again...

It is tantamount to public bullying as mentioned in the real news media a month or so ago...

People see that the likes of Gesty and Myleene can cope very competently with BTTs... so search for what hey consider good TV in seeing someone at their emotional wits end...

Me myself and I prefer entertainment, as in how the great Gaffers was.... or the gung-ho bring it on style of JD, Gesty and Klassy.

It is becoming a theme of IACGMOOH... the Show should do something to combat it, maybe nobody is allowed to consecutive BTTs... even it out a bit?

Faye, you can go and join the negative thinkers on one of the other threads if you like, to make up your own negative interpretations of people, this thread is posted for people who are actually able to see the good things about her, of which there are plenty.

You mention how she seems to shun the other women's attention - well in the case of Phina, Faith (and Scott) I really don't blame her. With friends like those, who would need enemies? She's gravitated naturally to the nicer people there, who happen to be Jason and Toby. Matt was quite nice to her too, while David was being a spoiled brat while she was talking.

Perhaps, you should change the thread title to "The Jan Appreaciation thread". That way, negative comments would result in a ban.

BTW, I thought the general consensus on these boards is that Myleene is also nice- too nice, infact?

I'm with faye on this. I bet any money that Jan is as hard as nails. I couldn't believe the way she shunned Phina when she offered some support and then was all over Jason as soon as he came into the room. She's not into the sisters thing at all and is what I'd class as a 'man's woman'.

I haven't any sympathy for her as I think it's all a big act to gain sympathy. She's had plenty of years experience.

I agree with everything you say, who would want friends like Phina, Faith and Scott. I prefer Jason and Toby, much nicer to be around, but then I am a little nearer Jan's age so understand where she is coming from.

Jan is extremely irritating but she deserves credit where it's due for the snake task - I'd have gone on and on about it too, if I'd done it.

I don't like Jan, but I don't think she's more whiney and bitchy than Scott (who was so utterly useless and selfish in his trial), and David Gest, who seemed aimiable enough at the start of the series but soon shows his teeth when he's not centre of attention and getting everything on his terms.

Faith is rather bossy (both to Jan and Phina when cooking dinner) and a bit weak and self pitying (on the 'chest' challenge with Jason), yet she doesn't seem to pick up any criticism. Heaven forbid what she'd be like faced with some of the challenges Jan's managed!

I'm no jan fan, but I agree that things are getting too much. The BTT situation is just daft. Everybody moans about her moaning, and then they go and give her more reasons to moan. Some people seem intent on breaking the woman, what they don't seem to have noticed is that she seems to be getting accustomed to the trials. Last night she was perfectly calm. To paraphrase SWW, Jan 3 - Great British Public 0. Maybe these idiots are getting frustrated that their sadistic wish isn't coming true so keep on voting for her in the hope that it will.

And as for that prat Scot whining about Jan's boasting of getting 10 stars, she has every right to boast you moron, you got 1!!!! She's a whiney old-age pensioner, yet she's got more balls than you
