With Steve Frost being so good at the minute, This is what I would like to see him develop futher.

I'm not going to say the usual, Axing this one and that one (Cause I have quite a big list ) or Change this set or that set but more on the characters and stories.

I think Corrie has become quite Middle Class in recent years (As many others have said on the Fourm before but it all came into place for me tonight).

I think we need to see more of the dumbing down of the over the top characters like has been seen in the form of Cilla, Becky, Janice, Sarah, Blanche, Norris, Chesney etc. They all have the possibility of being good characters and a few are, but they end up being boring, annoying and repetitive and we need to see that human side.

My next point is that the show needs to be made a bit more gritter, when was the last time we saw people struggling with money, it was Eileen's debts. Also I think we should welcome the new scum of the earth family rumoured to be joining as this could lead to this.

I would also like to see the return of Freda, Emily's neice. Also Yana should get more screen time and be developed into the street more, maybe a boyfriend and some other friends or enemys within the Show?

Also I'm sure Betty, Jack and Vera, not matter their age could cope with a bit more than what they are given and maybe give it a try maybe an odd scene her and there, it's always weird that we never see Jack and Betty in the pub for months and the same for Vera in the cafe. Also like to see Bill Webster back full time.

In Conclusion I would love for Corrie to be made a little darker, not depressing keeping the good one liners and the comedy scenes (Not panto scenes). And Corrie could be great.

I agree with the most part especially dumbing down Cilla who has offically become a pathetic cartoon joke. I dont think Janice & Blanche are particularly over the top tho

Vera and Jack's health has been very poor recently so I doubt if they will get any big storylines.

I would like Yana to get some more screentime.

No need for any stories, some time it's just nice to see Jack in the background of the pub getting on with life, no need for him to have any lines just sitting drinking as a scene involves other characters. And for Vera just to serve a little more in the Cafe

A bit like this, Janice walks in the pub and sees Fiz sitting and walks over to the table and offers to get the drinks in and Fiz agrees.

She walks over to the bar and we see Michelle finish serving Jack before serving Janice. And it lets us see Jack and Vera are still living normally in the background

I agree, although I already think this is what Coronation Street does great. They have scenes focusing on a few characters, but you'll see other characetrs who don't even have to say anything. It just retains that sense of realism.

Those are good ideas Chrissy2005, i don't know what else i could add to that really. With Tracy leaving, i think we could have a new bitch in the street possibly. I agree with the fact of making it a lot more gritty, but also balanced with the comedy. And toning down Cilla is a definet yes! Corrie is overall quite good at the moment though, cutting down on the episodes and cast i think could be a good change though.

I hope theres some decent storylines. I hope that Violet and Jamie arn't gonna be like Steve and Tracey with the whole arguing over Ugly Amy.

Indeed she has. She has become a much more likeable character. This storyline she has will only help with that.
