The MacDonalds and Ben both want to sing Mandy, although Louis seems to like Can't Smile Without You so, i wouldn't be surprised if he gives that to the MacDonalds and lets Ben have Mandy.

I can see Leona singing One Voice or I'll Never Love This Way Again.

Barry Manilow? How odd, what a weird theme when it's the final 4 acts. I'm not particularly a fan of the man (ilow), could someone pls name a some of his songs? ta-ski

oooh I hope someone sings the one that goes "I write the songs that make the whole world sing, I write the songs of love and special things..."
Oh it's called "I write the songs" - I like that one.

Is that two Barry Manilow songs each? Or do they get free rein for the second?

Can't say I am overly thrilled with the narrow theme choice for next week. I hope they only have to sing one Manilow song each and then they are free to choose their own second song

Thanks for the link . Apparently I do know a lotta Manilow songs, just didn't register that they were by him. I agree that it's a bizarre theme, odd doesn't cover it and I wonder what Ben will sing...

Surprisingly, not written by B Manilow, but by Bruce Johnston of the Beach Boys.

No it's deinitely a theme, the judges and the contestants were talking about song choices on the Xtra Factor. Although it's unclear whether both songs will have to be Barry Manilow or just the one.

I'm finding it hard enough to imagine 4 Barry Manilow songs I'd want to hear done on the show, let alone 8.....

LOL well i can predict the 4...

Ben - Mandy
MacDonalds - Can't Smile Without You
Ray - Beyond the Sea/Come Fly With Me
And i REALLY want to hear Leona sing One Voice.

I couldn't predict another four songs.. i don't even know if i can handle 8 Barry Manilow songs in one go. So im really hoping it's just one each.

Barry Manilow also has a new album out called The Greatest Songs Of The Sixties so I imagine that one of the songchoices will come from that era.
