Todays episode with the Gibbs family? You could e-mail the BBC and ask when it will be repeated, most things are repeated now on BBC Three.

Wanted Down Under

Has anyone been tempted by this programme? it all looks so fab!!!

My advice is don't emigrate - the emotional pull is far worse than you could ever imagine - my sister has been there a good few years now and still gets lonely

Down under

I went to Oz to live in 89 ... was there 11 years but came back every year sometimes twice a year for a holiday. I've now been back in UK permanently for 7 years but have reapplied to go back - I miss my friends and being there!! got my visa and am now just waiting to go back - to be constantly torn between the two is indeed emotional !! unless you go thru it then it is impossible to explain -

I've lived away from my country of birth for ten years now. It can be hard BUT you should always follow your bliss. The hardest times is if there are family emergencies but that is why you MUST have an emergency travel fund. I know my happiness had to come from coming to the UK when I did but it took me a long time to feel it. My best advice to anyone, including your sister if she needs it, is to try your best to get involved with that countries culture. Ten years in and I can talk just about any British sport, tv show, etc if I have to. Heck, I can even talk about the time the smoke from the fire got out of control on Blue Peter like I was there..despite never hearing of the show before 1996. It is all about adapting and it can be really hard but it is worth it.
