Light orbs on photographs

Anybody else ever experienced taking a photograph and being able to see something on the picture that couldn't be seen with the naked eye? I took a photo in my lounge (digi camera) and the picture shows a round light orb. This has never happened before or since with the camera and I can't find an explanation for this other than the spirit world ?

Specs of dust, IMO. Either way, they are a pain to get rid of when using Paint Shop

My ex took some photos with a normal 35mm camera of his new partner and her little girl. When they were developed, next to them at floor level was a light orb which definitely wasn't there when he took it, and several other photos taken at the same time have nothing, so it wasn't a mark on the lens. Their dog had died a few days earlier, and would have been in exactly the same position at their feet had he still been alive. And his name? It was Spooky. He used to be mine and my ex's dog but he kept him when we split, he was a cocker spaniel and was almost 15 years old when he died. We are convinced it was him in the photo.

Happens with digital cameras quite a lot. If it's a perfect circle with a sharply defined edge, then it's a light anomaly, and not supernatural.

I am a believer in ghosts, the afterlife and most things paranormal but I have a real problem with orbs. I just cannot grasp that they are anything unexplainable. Sometimes when captured on film they can be quite fascinating though.

A friend of mine had orbs on photos in her living room. The house was said to be haunted. These orbs looked like solid white objects, large solid elipses rising upwards with a tapering tail, human size.

They are bits of dust that come close to the screen. When I was about nine, I had a real ghost fascination. But my uncle, who is into photography, thought that the 'orbs' were just dust. So we scrunched up a Kleenex above a camera and took a picture and, what do you know- about a hundred orbs floating around the picture.

Yes, I can see that as being a very good explanation.

If they were ghosts, surely they would look like people.

Have you seen that really creepy 1950's photo, of the wife posing next to the husband's car that he inherited from his dead mother in law..SHE was sat in the back of the car!

Don't start me on ghosts, I grew up in one of the most haunted areas of Britain.

I think I might have done, it rings a bell. I love hearing about ghosts.

A friend of my friend's mum had an experience with a ghostly lady sitting in the chair in the corner of her bedroom, she waved at her, so she just waved back...and then freaked out!!!

I was brought up in an area of Yorkshire that was so haunted by mystical beings, the school once had to bring in the Police to settle the kids nerves.

I'm no Derek Acora, and would be very sceptical had I not witnessed it myself.

Is this pic on the internet at all?

I love anything to do with the paranormal. I'm also a photographer. To be honest, I've yet to see any convincing proof that Ghosts exist, and are not our minds playing tricks. Although I am sure there are some things that we just cannot explain or understand (yet) about the human mind/subconscious.
As for orbs, I see that as dust, either on the CPU or in the lens or light anomanly.

Love this subject though!

One of those rare pics which actually shows decent evidence of a ghost.

There's also one around of a group of friends sitting around a table having dinner. Also seated is an absent friend of theirs who had died several years previously.

I don't know if it's posted anywhere though.

The thing that gets me about the picture though is the light reflecting off the mother in laws glasses. Surely if she was a ghost the light wouldnt reflect?

I dont know... just a thought...

Makes it look like she has glowing eyes...

Its me again

Its funny, as I was actually thinking about orbs last night, and was thinking about taking a picture in my house to see if I could get any.

But Im too scared to... big chicken that I am, incase I do get something

99.9% might be dust.... but there is always that tiny percent that might not be.... so I think I will leave the photos to other people.

Looks like a man with a beard

I've personally had things happen in my previous house which cannot be explained. Noises kept being heard, taps running in the night, light switches being tamperd with and loud banging coming from the loft above one of the bedrooms.

Spookiest thing to happen was being woken up by a very bright light one morning, the could not have been any headlights or streetlights involved, since the bedroom overlooked the garden.

Are they her glasses though. If you look carefully, underneath the left eye one, you can actually see what looks like her eye. That would be well below what you think might be her glasses.

I don't know, I could be wrong. Maybe just the way I'm looking at it.

I have spent many years researching orbs, on digital camera, video and 35mm camera and I believe that a high percentage can be put down to moisture/dust/insects.
Here are some example of the photographs I have taken on various investigations.
I would love to know all of your opinions on what you think they are.
Some are orbs others are mist.
On each investigation I normally take around 200 to 500 photographs a time.

That exactly what it looks like - light reflecting off of glasses.

And what is light doing reflecting off the glasses of a non-corporeal entity I wonder? Hmmm....
